Shankhari bazar(शंखारी बाजार) is the market of Hindu community only. Here the market is after the name of maker of 'shankha' i.e. bangles made from conch(शंख) which Bengali Hindu bride wear as a sign of married. Most of the shops are of conch bangles(शंखा), wedding articles, puja materials and others. Here Hindu people live from generation after generation for hundreds of years. And in Bangladesh Hindus are largest minority community, about 8 percent of population.

Here in Bangladesh all are good. We protect hindu people. We treat equal to all religion people. But when we hear the condition of muslims in india, we feel sad. There are many restrictions on them. They cant freely eat or practice islam freely 😢
