Travel Day Vlog - Bristol Airport to Lisbon, Portugal.
The big travel day has finally arrived! We're off to Lisbon. We travel via Birstol Airport, flying with Easy Jet and land in Lisbon Airport. We take the Lisbon Metro to our AirBnB and give a little apartment tour.

I'm Imo and she's Izzy. We're a UK mother and daughter vlogging combo that loves to get out and about and exploring South Wales and beyond.
We're a homeschooling/home-educating family of two based in the UK dealing with the daily challenges of managing Izzy's severe, chronic eczema and her education. Our resourcefulness is tested on a daily basis, but we'd love to share our little triumphs and discoveries with you as we go along.

Yes! It makes all the difference. It costs €1.40 I think? There’s also an aerobus that goes to the centre from right outside the airport.

We’ve travelled a handful of times from Bristol airport, no major issues but yes going through security is always stressful! 😖 Like the idea with the pack of pic and mix, great strategy!

The pic and mix went horrible sticky and mostly ended up having to be thrown away... it become more a case of.... 'Nooo! Not the horrible sticky fingers - I'll cheer up, I promise!' Ha ha ha!

I had a laugh about all the inspections of things especially the stompbox. It would be odd things to travel with. I sat and snacked on some dried plums and pistachios while watching your journey. IB allows shoes and legs now, he's getting bolder.

That rectangular area "currently closed" in Bristol airport was probably awaiting maintenance to tighten loose glass panel,or a faulty steel post. There wouldn't have been a risk of anyone falling, if there was they would have fixed it immediately.

Haha. I had a similar thing happen to me once in security but instead of a flute, I had a huge hookah wrapped with cords and even a couple watches. They were not amused.

I filmed this on the 5th of November, so that will be why. :¬D It took me all this time to find the time to edit all the footage. We were up in Central Portugal this week, and only returned yesterday evening, so have missed the Lisbon weather. It was freezing cold where we were staying. Thanks so much for watching! Imo x

I check on comments every chance I get. I don’t get as many as you, obviously! For long walks between places, I’ve started using Hyperlapse. Record the whole walk, then in the edit, use 10x speed up. Works a treat. Wow! They have double ended buses! Not seen that before.

Yes! Well, it was called 'Socrates' but it was the same kind of thing, I think? I loved it! I was at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. I lived in Chelas on a campus with engineering students. The Metro didn't go that far then, as this was pre-Expo, so we used to get the bus into town and back. What did you study?

@@PlanetImo yes, Socrates was a similar programme I studied Biology and it was (and still is) in Campo Grande. Yes, Metro system pre- Expo was much smaller, I bet it was not so convenient to travel to central Lisbon by bus...

We're coming to Sintra tomorrow night, actually. I'm guessing that's where you're based because of the channel name. We're going to see our friends' band Crann Mor in "Pub Medieval Casa do Fauno". The gig starts at 10:30pm and we'll take our instruments and join in for some of it. Tonight we're in Cais Sodre, jamming along with Melting Pot at some point... O'Gilin's.

Hello! That sounds fun and thanks so much for stopping by. You might be better off asking a local about the weather. It’ll definitely be nowhere near as cold as the UK. It very rarely snows, though it does very occasionally happen. I think it will be mostly bright and sunny and much warmer than the UK, for instance. They don’t have heating in homes in Lisbon, mostly, but it gets cold enough to see your breath in the houses on the coldest days, so you might want to make sure there are heaters at least. Where is your home?
