This week, join Madeline from the comfort of her new flat! Madeline has officially moved out of her childhood home and is creating a new life for herself in London. This will be the first time Madeline has lived alone and she is already feeling a bit nervous about the adjustment as a result.
Madeline is feeling nostalgic as she reminisces on the two months she spent living in a van in New Zealand with her best friend Millie. Madeline shares the wild stories that came from this journey including losing the only key to the van, being threatened by a boy with a dagger, and getting a parking ticket one night after being too drunk to drive the car.
Follow and connect with all things @PrettyLonesome across Instagram, TikTok, and KZfaq.

47:54 Hun are you okay? l'm exactly like this. First year living alone was HELL! you'll get used to your place and the sounds, so you'll identify them later and be alert only when there's something out of the ordinary! You'll do great! congrats on your first flat!

I lived alone for years, and there were a few things that made me feel safer. I had a scary looking dog, I took boxing & self defense classes, and I got a security storm door for my front door. Also, if you have a glass slider, buy some metal security rods to jam in there. Keep pepper gel spray on your key chain. Ah to be a woman 🥰

madeline omg moving into a new empty flat is always creepy as fuck - and living alone after living with someone is always terrifying!! Noises are literally magnified in an empty flat since there's no furniture to absorb sound. my recommendation, just start with someone staying with you for a few days, and helping u collect some random house items - plates, a house plant, a lamp, and always have music playing :))) miaowww you are goonna be fine its a huge change but you will adjust and then have this beautiful space to call your own and be safe in

17:21 The halo effect is out of control 😅 I've definitely got some mixture of autism/ADHD myself and I have the same problem "rotting". Its worse taking care of an entire house yourself, at least you can still call a maintenance guy! I go thru the same thing, just buying some stuff like food or clothes can feel like: just kill me now. Careful about the isolation now that you have your own place...

Madeline I understand wanting to do a home tour, but you probably shouldn’t. You risk giving out too many details that could end up compromising you address. Scrolling through listings find you is far easier than you would think

omg i relate to you so bad. a year ago my parents went for a trip and i was home alone and that whole time the weather was like rainy and gloomy and i could not sleep during those nights. like i just kept thinking that someone is going to use a saw and cut my lock, kill me and nobody would know about it. i would watch comedy movies to calm myself but my god how i failed. any time the wind chimes would make a weird sound i would immediately get up and go the front door to check if my lock was still intact. i find it funny now but god damn was that nerve wracking.
