In this video me and ‪@kayyywild‬ are heading from Bohol to Leyte island, how hard could it be right? After about 8 hours and multiple buses, a tricycle and a ferry, we finally arrived! We were welcomed with open arms by our friends in Leyte and had the best couple of days.. coming soon 😜

Hi Josh! Kumusta? Been waiting for this upload 😅 If I remember correctly, the punched number on the ticket indicates how much the fare is and the distance to your destination. After your Leyte vlog, what country are you visiting next? As always, take care! 💖

Funny experience with the bus conductor(attendant) that we can't blame you hehe. We apologize for the confusion hehe. Since the 80s 90s, it has been accustom for the bus conductor to ask the destination of passenger, punch the date and fare amount on the ticket and collect money after he's done ticketing everybody front to back. It's old school and probably hard for him to explain to you. And yes, he knows remembers all passengers. Don't worry, they won't rob you, bcoz a bus inspector(green guy) comes up every now and then the entire journey and inspects the manual tickets. It is what it is hehe😄✌

The tricycle is expensive because you are the only passengers, those are actually shared by 3-5 persons. normally you have to wait until its filled with passengers before it leaves. thats why its 50 pesos each. Thats why the man said "Special" trip.

I think you've messed with Christopher's system of collecting bus fees. When they ask you where you're going, they immediately map that in their head, which says something about their memorization skills. They will prioritize people who will get off the bus first. He did not ask payment from you right away since you were still far off your destination. The reason for all this is that they have limited change available and they need to make sure everyone gets their change back before getting off the bus. PS, when you hear a guy say his name is Elma, its actually Elmer.😆

Thanks for visiting my lovely province, Bohol. Most people here in Bohol are fond of K-pop culture and foods that's why there are loads of Korean restaurants. Enjoy your visit here in our country. We offer picturesque landscapes and beaches, good food, and culture here, but one thing we can offer is the best and most genuine connection with the locals. I'm sure the people here will make a good mark on your heart. Love, the Philippines ❤

What we like about your videos is we feel like we are following a movie series. It always feels like we are always with you with your journey every step of the way as it seems like a continuation of your every adventure. Not something like we are just getting a glimpse of someone's activities not knowing when that happened. It's fine but yours with Connor is very engaging and exciting. Always waitng for your uploads. Godbless you guys. Thank you for appreciating and exploring our culture here in the Philippines.

Enjoying your vlogs. As a seasoned traveller in the Phillys, I have spent lots of time in Bohol it's an awesome island and locals are delightful. The reason for many Koreans in Bohol is I believe direct flights from Korea to Bohol. Lucky them. You will love Leyte. Many great places Ormoc, Tacloban. Go up and see Samar and Biliran too.

I'm originally from Philippines and have lived in the US for 27 years now. I've gone home only 6 times since moving to US. I must say your video inspired me to plan and revisit the country same way you did exploring the places that are "off the beaten path". Very authentic videos of what life in much of provincial Philippines is like. Quite an adventure and thrilling I must say.

If you are still in the visayas region try to know their morning, noon and evening greetings. If in the majority cebuano area you can say Maayong buntag - good morning, maayong udto- good noon(12:00), maayong hapon - good afternoon, and maayong gabii- good evening. There's a slight variation in the neigboring towns and cities but most of them can understand cebuano being the 2nd largest spoken dialect in the country.

Another useful word Josh is "Bayad" it means to pay , if you want to pay for something like the scenario with the bus attendant you say "Bayad po" to pay for the ticket. "Bayad" is tagalog terms so it should be understood by people who can speak or understand tagalog don't worry it applies to majorities of provinces
