Zed, hear me out, evenly spaced horses or camels between your hole and tango's so you can travel without wings just by hopping from horse to horse

So since you can build down to the lowest bedrock it might be a fantastic idea to honestly take the crazy amount of time to blast out a FULL 5x5 hole to the void and ringing the 5x5 with Sea Lanterns to leave a 3x3 hole to fly through. The lighting of a torch seems to be very very inconsistant under the bedrock so a larger hole and much larger and different block to provide light would be a good idea.

The biggest problem with the magma shop is that buying them at that price is less convenient then going and mining it yourself. You can find it literally everywhere in the nether

To take this to the next level, catch a wandering trader with llamas in a Minecraft, dangle the llamas in the void, and run the trader on a track, you can ride the llamas through the void!!!

Oooh.. you should totally have a line of saddled pigs from yours to tango's hole all spaced apart so you can hop from pig to pig, or have like a secret meeting in the middle!

Glow berry, the natural dangling light

You need to create a network of sheep where you only need to hop from one sheep to the next, no elytra needed. At the entrances you could have boat chests with ender pearls, this could be made so sick

I think as part of the decoration you could switch one of the lowest level blocks of bedrock to something that gives off light - sea lantern, shroomlight, froglight, beacon... - , it might be a more visible light source from below. Also, expanding the hole to 2x2 or 3x3 would make the entrance much easier. Edit: another idea, if you want to make decoration viod-themed, some glass floor and/or sculk could really add to the atmosphere! Or you could make it that much weirder by giving the room a completely different vibe, like a cozy hut or an icecave.

Yay! Zed episodes are always great, but there's just something about a Zed/Tango team-up that guarantees the fun gets turned up to 11.

I love the hole-some interaction with Tango! As it's under the world.. is it a hole-way to hell? Dangle a cow and call it "hole-y cow!"! Or name the sheeps, so they are better visible and also as orientation for later, when more people join the hole-way! :D A hole lot of possibilities

I think in the next update you can put boats on leads, I wonder if they are less suffocatey than pigs. Theoretically could you make roads by dangling lines of boats between your bases and hopping from boat to boat? If so, you could make a void race with branching paths, where you have to take the ideal boat path from A to B, or some kind of void boat hopping minigame.

In 1.21 you would be able to dangle boats as well. Maybe you could create a whole line of boats (or pigs) this way, going between the holes. So you can travel by just continuously right-clicking onto the next vehicle.

The activator rails always drop mobs onto blocks, so usually people use a piston floor powered by a torch that is toggled off by the detector rail a little after the drop off point.

You can make the Void Hole a game by making what you were doing with Tango into a two-player game. One player dangles on a pig in the void and the second tries to get them safely from one void hole to a second without them suffocating. It's too long a distance to make it directly, but if they stand on the lowest level of bedrock the dangler will get a respite they can use to eat and re-heal before the sprint to the next safe pausing location. You want to get the fastest time, but that means spending less time pausing for healing, which may end up fatal...

Tango and Zedaph have agreed to unlimited access to each other's holes!

Trap an allay on a lead near the hole in the void, could make it easier to see where you aim for. Just not too near the hole, it'll fly up and out. You can probably trap it using the same method you used to move the pig, just put a fence post when it is too far away to fly out the hole. I think Allay work the same way glowsquids' bodies and spiders, phantom and enderman eyes work in the dark, being unaffected by it. Original comment: "You should dangle a glowsquid! It's easier to see!" Would skulk sensors react to flying by? That could maybe also be a way to make things easier to see/guide the way if bedrock doesn't work like wool. The visual effect overrides the darkness like glowsquid and the noise works as an additional guide. Or dangle a zombie piglin with enchanted golden armor, the enchantment glow should, maybe make it easier to see? To dangle it put it in a boat with a dangleble mob, I think that should work! You were already planing on maybe making the hole wider anyway right? You mentioned horses...

If you're truly dedicated... you could break out a line of bedrock between the holes, put torches to light the path, then cover them back up. So it's still a hole-to-hole transfer, but at least you have a lit path to prevent disorientation 😁

Ok, maybe a stupid idea, bit i think its right up your alley. Boat brindge in the void suspended on dangling animals. If you dig a tunnel above the bedrock you can thether the animals up there after you push them into the void and walk along above

For decoration, I'd pour a bucket of water into the hole, then decorate under the bedrock. This way you can use frog lights and such to highlight the entry and see the danglers. Amazing episode you guys.

Two ideas for a Void hole game. You could do something like musical chairs. You stand on a block above the void with a bunch of other blocks, all attached to sticky pistons. At random, a block will retract and drop the loser through the void. Idea #2 - Something like battleship with the same premise of dropping someone into the void. A 3x3 or 5x5 set of squares and you hit a button to remove them one at a time. Winner drops the other person through the void. That redstone sounds way tougher but it could be fun?

You could get Doc involved to whip up a bedrock breaker to make tunnels with 1 layer of bedrock beneath. Then you can ride dangling pigs without suffocating for longer distances. Can you carry leads while in a mine cart? Then it can be an automated site to site trip for 2 people using teamwork.

This is my first time watching you other than once or twice in Season Eight, and a bit of your stream at the very start of this season, because I’ve noticed how entertaining you are when I see you in other Hermits’ videos. And I loved this so much. You are so entertaining, your humour is brilliant, you’re so unique and the things you come up with are never unoriginal. And you interacting with Tango is just the best thing ever

Can’t wait for Doc in a year from now using the void as his own network around the entire server launching boats at light speed and other shenanigans only to be interrupted by two dangling sheep. Kind of like a potato breaking Sahara kind of thing

This could be the ideal way of creating secret back door entrances to everyone's bases. They'll join the hole network whether they know if or not.

Hi Zed! I think I know a way to fix the kicky sticky! If you launch a minecart back and forth instead of the player it will be more consistent and works better on servers. (This is because minecart physics are calculated more accurately)

Activator rails don't want to output into a empty space(drop shaft), it wants a block in line with the block the activator rail is on or one above or below. but if said block is next to a drop shaft the blazes collision will push each other down the shaft, or lava can push them out at the rate they get unloaded. They also don't want to output onto: string, cobweb, powdered snow, open trapdoor.

I'd love to see you put some shulkers down there so you can actually stand down in the void! perhaps even a chest minecart or two...

Ask the folks of Magic Mountain if they want to join the Void Hole shenanigans. They're turning their mountain into a volcano and Scar already wants to sacrifice people to it... Basically it's the Boatem Hole all over again with mostly the same culprits and I could easily imagine they could be convinced to add a void hole at the bottom of the volcano.

You need dispensers shooting colourful fireworks down the hole activated by sculk sensors that detect flight. It will make the hole much prettier and improve its visibility, you might want to expand it though.

I truely dont know how possible this is (it might even be impossible) but I think a playground above the void would be awesome. Manic Monkey bars where you need to click from one dangling sheep to another, a slide that shoots into nothingness, a teeter totter where the goal is to bounce as far into the void as possible, a merry go round of pistons, hop scotch parkour. I could go on but I think you can see what I mean. Its not a game exactly like your other games but it is a play place which I think fits the theme

Ok I've got a few fun content ideas for your hole. Idea1: make it wider but remalce any air blocks with lava, leaving only the initial 1-wide air block entry as non lethal. Idea2: Hermit 1 goes on a pig. Hermit 2 leashes the pig, and has to successfully travel from one hole to the next, and attach the lead to a fence post without losing the pig or his/her hermit friend to the void. Idea3: stock up on golden apples, totems and maybe even notch apples, then hop on a pig. Hermit 2 leashes the pug, pushes it in Hermit 1's hole. He then has to travel to his own hole just above bedrock, bringing Hermit 1 to safety. Up to you if the path has to have been cleared beforehand or not (might have lava and mob hazards)

What I would personally do is try to build a plateau down there. If you can't place blocks while flying under the void, I'd try a 2 or 3x1 hole, pour lava down until it stops, then pour water down next to it to create stone, create a base and then build a nice pathway to each others base.

Make a nerve wrecking roller coaster just above the void, have the minecart do jumps and falls but always land just on the next part of the track

I suggest a much bigger than 3x3 entrance. Zedaph's hole should have a Grand Entrance. The Grandest Entrance! With frills and thrills. lol

Perhaps either a chicken jockey or just a regular zombie in a boat holding a torch would help with lighting the void holes.

Now they are letting you leash boats in the new update, you should get a hermit in a boat, leash it, drop them in the void, get in a boat yourself, etc. Daisy chain as many hermits as possible deep into the void

Foxes can be dangled. Foxes can hold things. Foxes can hold lights/torches/lanterns/lamps/glowstone? If you guys use the ambient light mods or whatever so held items actually glow, that would make literal beacons in the darkness that would be pretty hard to miss. Also if you made trails of dangling mobs in the manner that Tango was dragging you, you could have light lines to follow and/or saddle hopping so you can do sub bedrock void travel without wings!! (and that's the sort of level of crazy I like to think is in your wheel house)

You need an underland wonderland for the dangling void mobs. Give them a pasture and flip them upside down so they can enjoy the wide open plains of the void. (Water won't flow into the void so you could have a pond and moss could be bottom side grass? Would require much more broken bedrock.)
