Completely agree with you for the water melon and for the fish... its unbelievable... even where am i i didnt get paid that much per hr. I return to matius and will sell watermelon. Even a doctor here told me that he too will follow my step. This is my beloved country.

I agree... 100-300 rs seems fair. We don't mind paying a bit more as visitors to the country but rs 1100 is too far. 🖤

@@parttimetravellingfamilyseriously rs1100 is way tooo far bro, but sometimes some people try to sell things to you at a higher price just because they are facing many financial problems 😏 thats why they try to charge more, some people are just too greedy whenever they see tourists, they always sell their products at a really expensive rate... There are so many mauritians that needs to be blessed by the rich tbh 🥺

Eleise, when you are a tourist in a country. You will get fleeced. I feel it absolutely rediculous to be charged 20 lbs for a Watermelon. All those Watermelons on his trailer would'nt cost 20 lbs. I know of a guy that made a suit in Hua Hin for 14,000 Baht. It was an Indian tailor that gave him that price.

20 pounds? damn that was not cool - daylight robbery, name and shame that seller :p and funny enough , Frankie Dettori used to comes to mauritius yearly to take part in a special day for international jockeys , at the end of the horse racing season
