Really beautiful! When you say "lead" do you mean the metal used in the windows? 450 pounds seems like a steal, but I guess that was a lot for a town to scrape up in the 1400's... and then they'd have to pay upkeep and the clergy. Oh, and what kind of grapes did they grow??

Another Wars of the Roses connection within this abbey is the Clarence Vault which holds the remains of Edward IV's & Richard III 's brother; George, Duke of Clarence, who was executed in 1478 by his brother Edward for treason. I think the iron grate you see in the floor at about 5:15 is the entrance to the vault.
