Hello Traveling Robert & Mom😊😊, recently me and the Family visited a day in Washington DC and it was great. We got to see the Washington Monument...so awesome coming up the escalater and boom...it was right there. So amazing! The Smithsonian Castle was Awesome. We had dinner outside at a rolling restaurant and food was great! We'll be visiting again this spring, and then the summer vacation road trip to Texas and Big Bend National Park. So happy that you and mom enjoyed yourself in Washington. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!

For anyone traveling up and down on 95 do not be afraid to stay at the South of the Border campground. It's gated, far enough back from the highway so you do not hear the road noise, there's a gas station right near the entrance. Mini golf, food, reptile farm, ECT. all within walking distance.

I love this video. I’ve gone to each one of those locations in the title years ago, and enjoyed seeing how they’ve changed a bit. My particular faves were The Natural Bridge ( which didn’t have that great trail you walked on) and the Blue ridge mountain vistas. I love the cities of DC, Savannah and Charleston also.

That blue/green stuff on the side of the hill in Virginia is called “hydro seeding” we used that technique on the pipelines when needing to grow vegetation after working on the land and returning it back to normal

I don't have specific experience with winnebago installed solar panels, but from what I've seen of rv build quality it probably just came loose and wasn't theft. Ive noticed rvs tend to use as much home specific electrical and fastners whenever possible. They do this cause those parts are cheaper. Indoor stuff like I described doesn't have the insulation or protective coatings like you would find in a automobile. From my own use of a pop up plus neighbors and friends who had rvs, they get used a couple times a year at most. More like once a year. The rest of the time they sit out side open to the elements. Odds are with the miles you put on yours the screws just rattled loose.

A certain upper portion of the Washington Monument was damaged from the earthquake we had 9 years ago in this region. It succomb to random cracks in various places so the replacing stones probably don't match anymore.

If you get detoured onto the 295 around Richmond-don’t do it. Your suspension will take a beating with some of the expansion joints along the way. Did it once coming back from Myrtle Beach-never again.
