10 dirhams for 2 cookies is horrible. That thing cost 1-2 dirhams each. I’am moroccan and i’am disgusted about those scams in Marrakech. Horrible stuff going on there

@@vascosimoes7946 hi, i’am not from Marrakech , i’am from Casablanca. I think nothing beats walking in the old medina streets to have a good immersion with the locals. Sleep in one of the well rated riads, and eat where locals eat. I dont know if i answered your question. But i think the old medina is the most authentic place in Marrakech. You can also book a daytrip to Ourika. A mountainous area not so far from the city, its nice there. And just be careful and aware of the famous scams there

You should go to Essaouira it’s a chill laid back harbor city, 170km from Marrakech. I think you will like it. Very friendly people there and there is no hussle people like Marrakech.

Hello brother. I hope you are doing well. You are welcome here in Morocco, my country. As for the pronunciation of koutoubia and jamma el fna, you actually didn't utter them currently; however, I can help you pronunce them the right way since they are crucial. The word koutoubia is pronounced like that" kotobiya". Just read what you see literally. As for the word jamma el fna, it is a little bit difficult because there is a sound in the first word only found in Arabic. So It will be somewhat hard for you. But let's try; jama(...) lafna. The dots between the brackets represent the difficult sound. You can Google it and listen, you will do it inshAllah. It is the (ع) sound.

Did you meet the watermen, the first time I went they grabbed me and we took photos they asked for money so gave them some, walked off and they started shouting and running after me, I thought they wanted more but I had left my brand new phone with them which they returned, love Morocco

Moroccans are very friendly, if someone tries to charge you extra money try to bargain that's all.the key in Morocco streets is "TO BARGAIN",people there are feeding many mouths so they have to make money.
