He used DW internationally long before ever playing OCDP. And he’s regularly used acrylics during blink.

@@thebashmaneThe bearing edges are cut different and that does matter. RCI and DW don’t do the sharp double 45’s like OCDP. As for RCI they don’t even offer the option online and DW’s overall bearing edge quality was infamously terrible. People would ship their DW shells to OCDP to have them re-cut. I haven’t played a DW in years so that may have changed. As for the hardware, DW offered only a small variety of lugs, hoops, beds, etc. same goes for finishes and at that price range you should be able to get whatever you want. Anyway, I don’t like the sound of acrylic shells, but I’d take a maple OCDP kit over DW every time.
