Imdb states that the producers of the show actually wanted to kill Ragnar off very early into the seasons but they loved the actor so much they decided to continue his arc.

The show lived and died with him, I'm not sure I would've bothered with the show at all even from season 3 on if not for just wanting to see more of ragnar. I barely survived season 5, probably won't bother with season 6.

Never heard of the majority of these actors, where have they been hiding? I will miss all, even Judith, Rollo, King Egbert. Travis and Lagertha, Bjorn, precious Floki and Helga, poor blonde son (bad Ivar), all of them. I will miss them. Unbelievable and Torvi, adventurers. I ❤ them.

Somehow, i relate to this guy. Always chill and maybe a bit "shy". Amazing actor. Seems so different from Ragnar. Truly amazing representation of a famous character. Btw, i´m norwegian. Vikings and SOA is by far some of the best shows out there.

Historically accurate or not........I turn on the telly to be amused, diverted, entertained........yeah........this program.........PURE JOY..........

This show is fantastic. Great cast, set design, directing, writing and so on...Definitely my favorite show
