The outsole traction pattern is similar to “cool-crete” which is cool concrete with that texture used for outdoor pools that provide good traction so you don’t slip

The lockdown strap is great for squatting too. The Nike metcon midsole at the midfoot is good for plyometric jumping. It’s low and flat for lunges. Looks like he’s (TS) is cornering the fitness market as well as lifestyle. 🤷🏻 Js. Thanks Seth! I like the new setup. Congrats on your success with Apothecary 🧦

Actually is overrated… take out the Travis Scott name from these shoes and only few people would buy them. They are ugly AF, even though I’m a huge Travis fan I wouldn’t pay 200 or resell for these and I bought my moccas for 900$…

I just got a pair for 600 because I actually really like these. Probably the only TS shoe I really want. Very clean. Can wear with a lot of different outfits. Shoe just looks clean.

I am defo gonna try and cop. To me, look wise, I give em a 10/10 ngl. Color way is fire, love the strap and i like how they are a mid top; not low, not super high. To me this shoe is amazing. Ill def try and cop on the 30th!

I always thought the sole pattern is after the cracked, fry ground you find on deserts, whicb would be in line with the cactus jack theme.😊

Pretty sure the TR is for Trainer… these have a very similar midsole structure to the Metcon 8… which is a training shoe.

Honestly the jack on the bottom rubbing off is just cutting cost, I’m an artist, so you can easily spray a sealant on the jack to have it not wear away, or have it be molded on there in a different colored rubber, its not this hard to make something last longer

TR = Trainer?! As the promo states it’s a trainer shoe to do multiple things in. The strap is to keep the forefoot secure like previous trainer workout shoes made into a style feature.

It looks like it's difficult to style for most jeans. Prolly cause of the strap i guess like the 312 legacy's. that's where the j1 low market is all about. Overall, it's a 9 for me. The design looks exciting and fresh lookin. Might have a different take on streetwear fashion like the yeezy's when it first came out. It's like a low top version of the nike yeezy's came with a different kind of hype in this current hiphop generation.

These might be a good shoe for weight lifting tbh. Without the heel height obviously. But with the rubber coming up the side of the midsole, might also be good for some rope climbs. I’m not mad at them, it’s nice but not a necessity. 🤷🏻♂️

Next time, have someone that knows something/anything about shoes and comfort instead of people who don't enjoy the art. I think these are an 8 out of 10. I like the Jordan 1's look much better. The 1's are not very comfortable and am wondering if these are more of a comfy fit?

i def want a pair, i wanted them from the moment i saw them. Not because of Travis or the hype i actually like the color and style. its disappointing to hear there not as comfy as i hoped. its a shame there isn't a pair that isn't Travis Scott that are just like that like they did with the cactus jacks. i doubt ill get lucky enough to get a pair and i don't want the red ones but i do hope he is right and the price drop continues. i would maybe pay a bit more then retail for them not..$650 lol

Nike is struggling a lot with creating new models ‘cause they have no one to hype the sneaker. With this one they have Travis but I fear it will not be enough. With Kanye and Jordan they had someone Hyped up but at the same time with some other qualities. I like Scott don’t get me wrong, problem is 80% of the popularity of his collabs is hype related. I’m thinking about Jordan 1 low… honestly as much as I like the collab is such a low effort one: Reverse swoosh, earth tones and limited quantity. Hype is like luck, you don’t know really the causes and it can go away any second.

I hated these when I first saw them. And as the months have gone by I like them a bit more BUT still not enough to make me want them even a little bit. I think if the velcro strap wasn’t there maybe I’d want it more but as it is these are a drop for me.
