Marty visits with country music icon Travis Tritt, who has a brand new album coming out May 7, “Set In Stone”. Marty visits with Travis at his ranch in Georgia and talks about his path to Nashville. Tritt talks about obstacles he faced and what it was like when he faced criticism and the individuals (speaking of icons) who helped him through that uncertain time, when he felt like he was doing the right thing because it was true to him and who he wanted to be, but it wasn’t especially well received in Nashville.

I've been saying that for years that this man needs to be in the country music Hall of Fame he does not get the recognition that he deserves the CMAs have never shown him any respect in 1992 he was tied with Vince Gill with the most nominations only winning one and I was with Marty Stuart and the big one was entertainer of the Year and one for male vocalist of the year and was never mentioned again the cma's have no respect for any artist whatsoever like Travis tritt Colin Ray Joe diffie or any other artists in that matter because the vote who deserves it it's association who does it not the fans or anybody else in that matter so I agree with you 1,000%, he deserves to be in the country music Hall of Fame so does Joe diffie so does John Barry so does the Kentucky HeadHunters Collin Raye I can name a bunch more

I grew up in the 80's and graduated in mid 90's; he was definitely a part of my life's soundtrack. One of my favorite artists!

He was, is, and always will be my all time favorite all-around country artist! I saw him on my birthday in 1996 when I was 14 years old. He was the best singer I had ever heard live in my life. Saw him 21 years later in 2017, and he was still the best singer I had ever heard live in my life! He is one of the main reasons I started playing music at 14, and 25 years later, I'm still playing music, and I've probably played his music almost as much as he has live by now! LOL

I've listened to the set in stone album every day since it was released. While I love many many of his older songs, set in stone is a truly remarkable album and definitely my favourite work of his thus far. I can't fault any of the songs but my favourites were- better off dead, smoke in a bar, set in stone, southern man, ain't how I was.
