Fantastic mental preparation. When you discuss about embracing the suffering you will be going through; that is key. Many people go into competition with this fear, but when you can embrace, fear, pain, loss, etc. your mind is more relaxed and in the state of 'mushin.' Thank you for sharing. For more on 'mushin' Google it and read up on it on Wikipedia, it has a great write up on it.

The day of the tournament advice was really great for me. I tend to expect my first match to be easy and about a minute in I start to get frustrated and get caught. I need to be prepared and plan for my first match to take the full 4 minutes. I think this could really help me thanks :)

Travis. Congrats on your success! Wondering what you have as a warmup routine for Judo and also for Jiu-Jitsu at the competition. And how long before the match do you start? Great video. Thanks.
