After the rear diff started failing I tore into the E-Revo and could tell the diff needed shims badly but the diff rebuild DID NOT come with a single shim!😡. So I worked with what I had.😉

Great video and very useful info.i will be checking the shims for my version 1 erevo.🦾👍

I would recommend buying the shims instead of making your own like I did. Lol. But I worked with the parts I had on hand.👍😁

Great video brother. Keep us posted on maxx please
@myrclife3 жыл бұрын
I will definitely keep you posted on the Maxx. I already fixed it and recorded myself repairing it, but now I have to edit & produce the video. I have 1 more video that will be up before the maxx repair video comes out. But it's coming soon. 👌

Sweet some 1st gen revo content im having issues with mine thinks it's the spur gear coming loose question bud can I throw the hoss stock motor in a emaxx ?
@myrclife3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Although the stock vxl3s esc from the hoss might not hold up too well. If you could find a 4s capable esc out of a Traxxas Maxx to put in the emaxx as well that would be ideal.

Mine is still running the stock crown and pinion on the front and rear diffs, just upgraded to the Erevo 2.0 transmission and havent had an issue since
@myrclife6 ай бұрын
I've ran my stock transmission without any issues but I've tore a lot of front and rear diffs out of the thing. I thought the 1st gen erevo had an ok trans but crappy diffs. 🤷. After what you said, maybe I just got lucky.

Woe hand grinder that is dam pretty cool stuff!! I want a hand powered grinder now. My girlfriend gonna think im nuts since i have 2 electric grinders already!

I LOVE my little manual hand grinder. My little rc studio is in my x- step daughter's room (that's why it's painted pink & purple lol) and it's upstairs in my house on the main floor so I didn't want to bring up a bench grinder and bolt it to the table! This thing can clamp down to anything and be moved very easily and it doesn't need any electricity and it's quiet so I said screw it, I don't use it anywhere else.....I might as well use it in the rc studio😉. It's very old but works great👍

You can actually type "manual hand crank grinding wheel" in on Google and it shows that they sell them new for $33 on ebay

Hi mate nice set up I have the exact same had this issue loads of times now just wondering what pinion and spur you are running and what pitch or module 👍🏽
@myrclife Жыл бұрын
I'm running the stock size pitch/mod which is mod 1 I think. And I am not sure what spur and pinion size I am running. I have 25 different rc trucks and cars and it hard to remember what spur and pinion size I am running on each car. Lol 😂. Thanks for watching and commenting.

i really want to run my e revo v1 on 6s. what do i need to do so i can do that?
@myrclife2 жыл бұрын
If it's brushless all you need to do is plug in two 3s packs. If it's a E-Revo with dual brushed motors it can only run on 4s.

@@myrclife people say the diffs and drivetrain isn’t build for 6s? True?
@myrclife2 жыл бұрын
The diffs are smaller than some of the new monster trucks but I've ran mine on 6s pretty much all of its life. I just make sure you run your slipper clutch a little loose. Not so loose that it slips all of the time but just enough so it will slip a little bit on take off. Another thing you will probably have to do if it has plastic driveshafts you will need to upgrade those because they break quite often

@@myrclife cool! is there anyway i can keep in contact with you and get more advice and knowledge about this?:)
