Don't forget the need for the steel CVDs for the wide maxx. Mine only last 2 runs before I rolled the wide maxx and snapped the outer axle shaft spindle. The roll was at about 30ish mph in grass. So far the steel CVDs have survived numerous wrecks at varying speeds. I'd say the Revo is more durable buuuut.. I've worn out the c-hubs for the dog bones(the rear 2) (about 25 battery packs), broke 1 axle shaft, bent 1 axle shaft, pulled the ball joints from the front control arms numerous times before I upgraded to RPM (the RPM control arms are so much better that in a 50 mph wreck instead of the threads pulling out of the control arm, the entire ball of the ball joint got pulled out of the hub which was easily remedied after reinserting). I also ruined a couple stock tires on the E-Revo after not fully waterproofing them and running them in water. Imagine that.. the tire exploded. My fault not the Revo. I've also broke several teeth off of the rear ring gear in the differential when playing very hard in a skate park. I was not careful in relieving the throttle while the car landed from multiple jumps which caused extra stress on the differential. After replacing the ring gear I haven't had the problem again. Other than those "few" problems the E-Revo hasn't given me any other problems in 5 months other than general maintenance things such as bearings and ball joint pillows. Oooooohh I almost forgot, after 2 months the ESC overheated and nuked itself. 1 month later the motor went while running on a Hobbywing Max 6 ESC. Now it's running a castle creations Mamba X Esc with a 2200kv Castle motor. Has been trouble free for 1.5 months now. In the 3 months of owning the Maxx I've broken 1 outer spindle and blew 1 tire. After cataloging that I couldn't help but laugh. I absolutely love the E-Revo, despite all of the problems it still may be my favorite of; the Maxx, X-Maxx, and a heavily modified Slash 4x4.

Great video, but I slightly disagree with your conclusion. I think the e-Revo 2.0 is one of the toughest trucks out there. I have beat the living sh*t out of it for two years now and had no breakages yet. I also love my Maxx, but first double backflip and the driveshaft broke. That was in October, when parts were not available yet in Europe. Anyway, I take my e-Revo 2.0 when I can only bring one car. That's just my thoughts though. I love all RC cars, no matter which company name is on them.

For the amount of money the Maxx costs it should come with the wide Maxx suspension.

Excellent comparison. I have both and love them. You are spot on with the advantages and disadvantages of both trucks. My widemaxx is down right now because of the plastic driveshafts but I knew that was going to happen eventually. Take care man.

never was big on speed i always looked at handling. to me the E revo was better. back in the day i had a revo converted with a Gorilla maxx chassis and an E maxx half transmission. it out handled every other truck at my local track (All were nitro) they complained and the truck got banned, so i brought my nitro revo the next week and double stomped them. I have always had love for the revo be it E based or nitro

Just curious what diff fluid weights you are running in your Maxx. Ive been tuning mine so that when I wheelie both back wheels stay on the ground. It lifting one wheel then going into a wobble, so I changed all the fluids. Yours seems like it doesnt do that. Thanks

Yo my infraction on 6s under full trigger terrifies me enough to remind me that i have to be safe because being a adult sucks like that. 😂 its the kind of fear that reminds me im alive. If you know what i mean.. provide my infraction is not completely stock but stock enough. Basing my experience on 6s from the arrma line up its hard to see any other 6s rigs without expecting that insane “holy shit i need to be careful” feeling. I just dont “see” or “feel” that with erevo.. and i want to buy one because my xmaxx and maxx are kicking ass and taking names.. lol (side note im up 4k in bets wages along friends with deep pockets and expensive toys that they cant drive at the limits.. lol learning is expensive until you realize that learning is free..) i guess im waiting on the new traxxas drag car... i have the losi on order and my dr10 is pretty pimped out. The max does so we'll getting the most out of the 4s lipo, I got the e revo over the max cause I like doing tricks and I think it flips a smidge better, but I would of been happy with a rustler too. Salute
