Like u said I don’t think any truck would make it. If it was on grass or dirt maybe but concrete don’t give. That was really getting some air. Liked the lil bump you got on wheelie bar on peak of ramp. Thumbs up

I love that the goal is just to make it through a battery pack. I can relate...in the worst way...I picked up the Hoss just over a week ago, first run out broke a rear carrier, picked up the blue Traxxas aluminum option and the HD CVD’s just because I figured I dodged a bullet there already 2nd run out broke the front C hub and carrier thus upgraded to AL options 3rd run snapped a front shock shaft and upgraded to GTR shocks 4th battery pack stripped the servo gears and upgraded to metal 5th/6th run snapped servo horn off, borrowed one from a buddy, then snapped the tie rod end screw off inside the upgraded aluminum front carrier, switched holes with the end to keep bashing and then snapped the drag link in the steering bell crank Within a week I have XMaxx $$ into a Hoss... Oh and I think I missed the 2nd breakage, rear control arm snapped, and I just broke another one of those this past weekend. I think I just need to go back to Slash bashing!

Just got mine two days ago. I ran it once to break in the 3S LiPO but it was raining hard when I got off work today and so I decided to reinforce the body with drywall tape & Shoe Goo. With any luck it won’t rain too hard tomorrow and I can finally run it on sport mode

Honestly, if you have the Pede 4x4 I wouldn't get the Hoss. If you saw his previous run video it gets the exact same speed and the motor still overheats. They are also both 1/10 scale single motor, single battery monster trucks. You could probably just get the Sledgehammer tires and get your Pede to drive almost exactly the same.

Wrap a zip tie around the fan tabs... after it falls off a few times it wears down the plastic and it will fall off easier every time

What about screws to hold it into the esc? There are screw holes on the fan like the one for the motor. Could you get screws to hold it on?

Compared to the Pede it’s a heck of a deal. Comes with $70 tire upgrade, $25 esc fan, $120 motor upgrade, and has the awesome center diff instead of the slipper. All three of the Pede, rusty, and hoss are all expensive though.

victor cruz after I threw on my rear chassis brace on my revo the clip less body has yet to come off. The paint has worn off it lol, but I do love the convenience. Just popping one or two clips into my Capra pisses me off now. Lol.

I hear you. I cannot put my truck away broken IF I have the part to fix it. Just makes me feel better. Sometimes you just don't have the part and got to deal with it until it comes in. I can relax a little easier being able to check off a "to do" item. Otherwise it's just procrastination on my part.

J&K Newb I would pull the pos esc out and get either a castle momba x or hobbywing max10sct and bigger pinion on there cause the stock one is causing the motor to overheat because it’s maxed out the rpm on it to get the truck to do anything if that makes sense. Oh and also put mip axles on it

Ouch. That was hard to watch. I have no problem jumping my rigs 26ft plus and very long distance jumps as long as I land on grass and dirt. Concrete is just too much damage. Just my 2 cents.

In the end, it's a pretty stampede. Go too high and you snap the chassis in half. Does it use the rustler 4x4 driveshafts? I think they are beefier than the old stampede vxl axles like mine started with. You do a far better job editing your stuff than I do. You should let the sound of the truck be in the video. Then people can hear how hard it's landing. Watching it without sound makes it seem far less violent than it probably is. I record most of mine just to show the jumps/landings/crashes and to keep track of what changes I make and to see how they compare. I don't have any skate parks with bowls like that near me. That place is a lot bigger. The "bowls" at mine are much shallower and next to each other. At most, I try jumping from one straight up enough to catch the downside of the next bowl so the trucks don't just belly flop on the flat bottom. I tend to use other jumps at my skatepark to jump out of the park and onto grass. The concrete at mine is so rough though that I have to put steel or titanium wear plates on the front/rear of the RC's I run there, or it will grind right through skid plates and chassis in a matter of a single bash session.

Those weak axles are a deal breaker. You simply look at them and they break. Look closely at the plastic on those axles where they bend ( the metal joint part in it) look at the plastic where it goes through...its so thin there. It's almost like they designed them to fail so they can sell more parts. Surely to God they could make the plastic much beefier there but why kill parts sales. I jumped my stock Arrma Typhon 6s 15ft up on grass for 20 packs and nothing happened to it until I took it to the BMX track...

Should I get this or the ARRMA notorious/ outcast. I am comparing the three because they are pretty much all stunt trucks and are around the same price area. I trust your opinion. Don’t wanna put too much pressure on you, but whatever one you say I should get I will probably get. Thx

If you're talking the 4s ones they are getting a new version for 2021 if its the 6s it would be better but there are some heavily recommended upgrades like aluminum chassis braces and some aluminum hinge pin braces also down the line get and m2c chassis or something stronger than stock heck go for the EXB stuff for the outcast/notorious all suggestions tho you can build or upgrade your rig how you want it

Everyone hates on Traxxas because they don’t change much. I’ve seen plenty of people say the Hoss is just another Stampede, when it is in fact quite a bit different. For starters, the Hoss is longer and lower, making it more stable. It has a torque-biasing center diff with a steel spur gear instead of the Stampede 4X4’s slipper clutch and plastic spur gear. It has a much higher-torque motor. The Hoss comes with upgraded parts (heavier duty driveshafts, suspension arms, an esc fan, etc). It’s tires are better than the Stampede 4X4 VXL’s. Overall, the Hoss is much different than the Stampede. But the fact that it is so similar to the Stampede, Slash and Rustler 4X4’s makes it really easy to find the replacement parts. Plus the fact that Traxxas builds their cars to be ultra-easy to work on. I mean, just a few screws and the entire front or rear of the car comes off the chassis.

Ditch the trx3.3 and go for an OS. You might blow up the transmission because it has loads more power though

@@John-ot8rw dont really have the funds for that now and the motor is still healthy and can be lively some days just cleaned the carb after 6 year of running it Lotta gunk but my luck hit and broke the starter shaft

@@jakeramsay well theres no way to "upgrade" a nitro engine. You get what you get. All the people saying forced induction works are idiots giving into placebo because the science and mechanics don't back it. All the pressure would just blow out the exhaust port while the intake is open. If you can't buy a new motor, run what you got into the ground and save up for a better one

Whatever makes you sleep at night. 2 days ago when mark did his side by side comparison on all 3 of them he even said it's a stampede... I love traxxas, 99% of my collection is traxxas, I'm not bashing by any means. But I know what I'm looking at and all the hoss is, is a dressed up stampede 4x4.
