Nice, good choice :-). I have also got some 1/10 2WD Traxxas cars, they are very nice. But the mini Summit supprises me every time with its speed, how good it handles rough terrain and its maneuverability.

This are loose LED´s with resistors, soldered together. 1-16 Summit is small, fast and has loads of wheel travel. I think the Merv will roll over less easy because it sits lower and still has loads of wheel travel. It´s on my list of cars to buy..... ;-)

Personally I don't have experience with the brushed 1/16 Summit or with real crawling. In my other video "Hill Climb" I did some riding at much lower speeds, wich went pretty well. I'm running my brushless with a 16 pinion and 50 spur gear, wich result in a gear ratio of 15.75 (according the manual). This is the stock setup, not for crawling. The manual says you could go to 11-55, gear ratio 25.2. This should make a big difference. So a long answer, but actually I don't really know. I think the brushless should crawl pretty well with a 11-55 gearing.
