After watching one of your earlier videos I bought the Ramp Crab wheel hexes - one of the best I've used! Wish they came for the smaller 1/24 rigs like the SCX24

Throw your steering bar on top of the knuckles and the bar connected to the servo is backwards

Wish I didn't stop by and watch this channel. You're a mine of information, who've just cost me a 3rd build. I bought the TRX-4M a couple of weeks ago and began ordering upgrades even before it arrived. I'd planned to build me a little ripper from the original parts I'd removed from my 1st 4m. Now it seems I'll be building a 3rd, only with top quality parts. Oh boy, this is gonna end up costing me a small fortune 😂😂 BTW, great video, you just picked up a new subscriber 👍🏼

Ordering all my parts.,...some said don't get the brass meus links,,,after your video i think they were wrong,,,I ordered both will return 1,,,probly the adjustable stainless,,,,,those brass look so good

Awesome. I know that sometimes I get so excited about the end result that I forget to enjoy the build. So make sure that you enjoy both processes of Moddin and Crawlin. And I'm sure you will like the brass links too. I will say that I was negative about them until I purchased them. So after that, enjoy it. Congrats.

Where did you get those green anodized bits you used to stiffen the rear frame section, and mount the shocks? Cool build, I just ordered a ripper chassis and planning to 4WS.. The new MEUS two speed might be a cool addition, if it can squeeze in there!

You can get some colors on Amazon but the green I got from aliexpress. They are called standoff. 2.5m 35mm I believe.

After getting the injora drive shafts on sale I should of just went with these drive shafts because I have to much binding with mine now

That's the exact reason I push the GPM Driveshafts. They are the only shafts that won't bind. Disclaimer - I'm sure someone could figure out how to bind them but I sure can't. Lol

I felt like my 650 gram fcx24/scx24/trx4m was too heavy lol. Hearing you say 1000 grams... I feel like it would never go up anything 🤣😅 Also, OGRC servos make no noise.

No issues going up. I did remove around 250 grams for my last outing and it actually was worse being lighter. Maybe it's because of my 3s brushless system I'm not sure but the heavier the better.

@@pissedrhinoI'm using furitek python pro and a cedar, 3s definitely makes it easier to climb by just gunning it lol. I was about to cut about 100 grams though. I'm at about 55% front weight bias. Maybe I just need to move it from the back to the front.

@@keldonator gunning is not how I do it. Mine is actually very slow with tons of torque. I have 40:1 crawler gears with step down portals and I run my throttle curve at a max of 40%. It can crawl straight up especially with the 4 wheel steering.

@@pissedrhinoThat's impressive. Not sure why the limited throttle, just pull trigger less. Crawler gears are standard for crawlers, just trigger finger.... Maybe I'm just expecting too much, I haven't gauged the angle of incline. My setup is even lower cog than your set up. It could be tires, I am trying the dji crawlers. I should try my injora 64mm too and measure both. Mine also has 4ws but it's a new build still tuning things.

Have you tried or do you think the Meus two speed transmission with another servo for shifting would fit with all your other electronics in this Ripper chassis?

Yes I've tried it and no it won't fit it's too tall and there is zero room to begin with.

I don’t like any of the portals at all I like the the Treal ones for the way the steering mounting is but like meus for the width of them but with injora now releasing their extended axles by 4mm each side I’m doing that option

You can get some on Amazon but I get all of mine from AliExpress. There are tons of available sizes and colors. To many to provide links for. Search: M3 standoffs 35mm

Hi Rhino, mb u could answer me this question. Did u remove the 11t Pin from the Furitek Motor? Im trying to install 40.3:1 Meus Gear. The sound is not good. May the original Furitek Pin be too long? Have a nice day and greetings.

Well the pitch is all that matters and unless your using another vehicle transmission you should be ok. Do you have the gears installed right? Did you fill it with grease? I have used the Furitek pinion on every gear set I've used and I have used all of them without issue including the Meus 40:3:1. You might review the gear installation because I have that issue every time I build one because I always forget. .lol

@@pissedrhino I noticed the pitch is a little bit longer then the meus ones. yes all greased up and tripple checked the order. ok, i try another gear set. i have from injora. we will see, thats all that matters. bring it to work;) i wish u a good time.

I ordered the RampCrap hex weights but they hole is too small and won't fit over the axle shaft. Thought maybe I ordered the wrong size, but I can't find any different sizes. What's up with that? Do you have a link to the RampCrap hex weights you're using?

Here is the exact place I have purchased mine from. I have 6 sets and everyone fit perfectly. I'm guessing you have a brand of axle I do not use.

@@pissedrhino I was excited to have weighted hex with a pin that won't just fall out. Bummed these aren't working for me. The hole on the non-hex side is clearly too small. It will not go on. I may try drilling them out. BTW... I appreciate your videos, I've learned a lot from them.

How do you balance such a small wheel and tire? Are those brass rings true??

The tires are so thin that the inside foam or other inserts control 100% of the tires structure. Cheap foam, no control, two stage or other inserts help bring them as close to balanced as possible. The weights I added made the truck from 700g to 1000g so a 30% increase in weight in the lowest part of the vehicle. They also control the sidewall completely and the added foam keeps the ring in place. I've had zero issues with unbalanced wheels but I see it all the time in other videos.

Hey P Rhino. How do u like the portals on this rig over the non portal. Are u running extensions as well. And what tires are using thanks. Have my ripper on the way. I have set or injora housings but was wondering if I should get portals for the extra clearance on ripper.

The portal clearance really helps. I am on Treal weighted extensions and my tires are LGRP Swamp kings. 👍

What material did u use to to cut and make the electronics tray. And are using the underdrive gears in rear.

@@pissedrhino Aww nice. Thanks for all your help. I am a bit new to the smaller crawler. For the plastic Cut piece did u glue that in or bolt on. Have two wheel steer mod capra with three gear transmission. And have two vanquish phoenix and a rr10 bomber that has tons of mods. What radio are using with the 6 ch. or should I get a avatar or fly sky. Also for shocks are u using the 59mm or 55mm and as for crawling is the treal weight extension better way to go or the rampcrabs just as good. I too hate that darn small pin and it always falls out. End up finding that darn thing later on as the cat finds it for me. Thanks again.

The servo is AGFRC OEM.

The servos in all of my builds are NSDRC Scaleparts servos. They are the best servos out there.

I know. But I mean they are OEM from AGFRC. All are the injoras, the reefs, the OGRC etc...

@@djtazzmtl I'm not sure where he has his servos manufactured but I do know that agfrc doesn't even have servos producing numbers like NSDRC. Also oem stands for original equipment manufacturer. This cannot be true because agfrc does not produce an oem product that stands up to the specs of the rs100m. I see this all the time where people hear something and just believe it to be true but 99% of the time they have zero evidence to support their claim. Mark has designed his servos and I am sure he uses someone to build them for him but if you stack an injora, agfrc, Meus, or any other against the NSDRC and the NSDRC wins every time.

I'm check them out. I'm running Mini Godzilla. I already broke 3 plastic servos and got AGFRC I stripped the gears 20 mins of smashing around. I bought his 25T servo saver adapter.

These tires are 64mm. There is only one tire larger, 68mm, and they are junk. These are the best 1.0 tires available, LGRP Swamp kings. Even on the 1.2 wheels the tires are smaller. Now I jora makes a 1.3wheel with 70mm tires (which are in transit) but they only have one tire design available. So if you are a real crawler these tires are by far the best.
