I got lucky and found my X-Maxx 8S at my local pawn shop. Pretty much brand new! The truck is a beast. Can handle pretty much anything you put in front of it!

Not one person commented on why the new tire blew/split. It was because of abuse, plain and simple. When he crashed at the end of the "pond", he kept trying to flip it over by nailing the throttle and/or reset button. It was laziness, and he knows it when it didn't right itself after a few tries. The diff puts all the RPMs on one side of the vehicle and the tire isn't designed for that super high RPM with no load. Look at how tall and thin the tire gets when he gives full throttle when one side is on the ground under load and the loose side just spins out of control. Therefore, tire blows apart. He's lucky the diff or trans didn't get damaged doing that method. But maybe it did. Nice car though.

That was actually a self righting system, he just pressed a button. But you are right, the stress on diffs and axles isn't worth the little walk and flip.

I bought my xmaxx the other day and the the first time taking it out to drive it the ESC burned up after 5 minutes of use lots of smoke, i barely got to drive it, I guess I was really one of the unlucky ones and now just waiting for Traxxas to send back new ESC. I gotta say I was pretty disappointed it was just a tease and I hope new ESC last longer

Robert Jr i highly reccomend the stampede more. Its much lighter and easier to work on, its slightly faster because of it lightness. The bigfoots nice, but uprgrade from that xl5

Electric is better than nitro or 2T thermal motors, less expensive maintenance, more speed out of the box, no carburetor adjust, more clean.

I got an used X-maxx for a cheap price and it run well, unfortunately, the Vxl-8S got shorted and it nearly killed one of my battery after I played on the beach, now it run on 6s with training mode to extend esc life.Also thank for your video because you made me buy a x-maxx :3

That’s exactly what happened filled with water when you hit that puddle under pressure they blow to avoid that you can make a small hole in each tire and problem avoided.

no problem at all ... I wash and keep them lubed with WD40, grease them and other maintenance on other parts of the truck

Subscribed. Would love to see some big ass jumps. Last rc car I had was a hyper 9 ans that was a long time ago now . That was pretty mental for a buggy. Bastard to start though . Guessing electric is the way forward now with brushless motors. How long do tha batts last these days

pretty much ... after each run I spray the terminals with WD40 to prevent corrosion

4s/4cell - 14.8V ... yeah it doesn't come with batteries or a charger, it's extra money, unfortunately
