Malcolm X didn't turn his back on the NOI like Vlad said. He just saw a different spiritual path and took it. He saw that things weren't as he was originally taught, once he went overseas. If anything, they turned their back on him instead of wishing him well on his journey, but I don't think that was the case either.. The government knew the power he had by then and he was a threat to THEM because of that power. He felt he was really enlightened at that point. Enlightenment is true power. I don't remember hearing or reading that Malcolm disparaged the Nation or anything. He was just trying to tell truth as he saw it then. Vlad needs to get his facts straight.
