Real talk because i was loyal af to nba live like that all the way up to live 10 started playing 2k when ivo was on the covers but didnt play heavy after 2k4 played more live smh. Its crazy too because The only ways 2k ended up moving live out the way was adding the dribble stick then myplayer

30:57 I know what he talm bout. he talm bout them secret madden teams on 08, yea u gotta do a challenge in trying to unlock em all asap!. 1 team is full of 7ft titans that break hella tackles and do nun but hit sticks on d, another is a ice team that turns invisble when u try to tackle em. Then u got a team from hell that cheat, they get 5th downs n make yo goal post skinny when u try to kick. Last u got the dummies, everybody is 99 speed but u'd swear it feel like 200 speed.

Aye yo Tay. I had to stop watching the video just to say this. I like the way you talk about video games from the past to now. One topic I mainly agree on is 2k vs live. And I’m not going to lie. We all play 2k and we hate 2k but if we see anybody play 2k. We roast them. No lie. But we wanted live to be and feel better then 2k. And we need more competition. You don’t have any, you become lazy and you give the customer less. It’s like you are going to McDonalds and McDonald’s is the only fast food place in America and all they are selling is Big Macs. Need competition so you can get better💯. keep doing you man

I still think Tecmo Super Bowl is fun as hell but agree that compared to PS2 era and beyond the games were trash in comparison lol Anybody saying that rather play Madden 96 over recent games is cappin HEAVY I still run Tecmo Super Bowl III at least once a year for a couple seasons

17:11 you say this but Live 19 was 60$ on the first day, and another basketball game dropped that same day, 2k19. So when you are given a choice between the 2 games you're probably going to buy 2k19. Looking back now, 2k19 was and still is light years ahead of Live 19, but the servers to that game are gone and Live 19's are still up so people are looking at that game with rose colored glasses because they dislike 2k21/22/23. If EA really wanted to compete they would make their next Live free like Konami's EFootball (soccer game), which gives them a massive advantage in cultivating a fanbase that is willing to spend on their MyTeam/MyCareer equivalent. Just food for thought.

Nba live messed up with 16 when they basically had they full street mode in the demo. So nobody bout 16 when it came out that's wat hurt them. And by them 2k was so big nobody was giving nba live a chance

@@deon3133 I don’t remember Live 16, I can barely remember 2k16 besides the park and myteam. But what I do remember is that those games came out in 2015, before Fortnite (and COD Warzone). Giving full “free” access to multiplayer modes to the players really grew Fortnite to what it is today, Epic securing franchise deals with big names like Marvel and Disney. The “free” model just seems like the best option for a game like Live, people complain about 2K all day but they buy it every year to play the same boring modes, now imagine that but all you have to do is download the game and play it with what EA is willing to put out. It will grow the game and the playerbase, which is the main problem with NBA Live.

@@cringedetector9819 naw ea will never go free. More people are playing nba 19 now than they was when it came out. If they actually cared about putting out a good game people would buy it. Just like people buy madden,fifa, and NHL games and now they making golf games again. It just felt like back then ea didn't care about making a good basketball game

@@deon3133 EA just lost the Fifa license (EA Sports FC 24 is the new name) and Konami (EFootball, free soccer game) is already poaching soccer teams through deals (like EA getting the license to have Lakers players in the game to sell in card packs). Except in this example of NBA Live, the buy in is way higher on the NBA 2K side, 2K is rising in prices and all EA would need to do is go “free” and poach users from 2k. They do this and both games can become better through competition, EA having the upperhand since the game is free, but 2K having years of experience and a dedicated buying playerbase. Live currently is making almost no money from their last installment so they need a big move to pull players. EA isn’t likely to go free, but their other “successful” games are cluttered with just as many issues as Live 19 had and they’ve had years to make those. Just food for thought.
