Standing in his way is a Ukrainian fight legend, Vasiliy Lomachenko, a three-division world champion intent on writing another triumphant chapter in his Hall of Fame career.
Lomachenko and Kambosos will clash for the vacant IBF lightweight world title as part of a world title tripleheader on Sunday, May 12, at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Two additional world title fights will be announced in the coming weeks.
Promoted by DiBella Entertainment, Top Rank, Ferocious Promotions, TEG Sport and Duco Events, Lomachenko-Kambosos and the two additional world title fights will be broadcast in prime time in the United States on Saturday, May 11 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+.

Think it was the announcers fault, they were freaking out when ortiz threw blocked punches or even move his feet, but its crickets when loma lands combos, it was pathetic.

Loma was 100% rusty as hell in this fight. A lot closer than I remember it being but the fact remains...Loma landed more punches and they were almost all cleaner than any of Ortiz's. That being said, Ortiz has my respect. This was closer than it should've been.

He will be for sure. he's quite good. Not taking anything away from him at all. I swear though this fighting from loma though is a bit different to almost every other fight I've seen. It wouldn't matter who won this fight though. They've both fought very well. And they both know how the fight went down and they've given each other a lot of respect.

In this fight Loma was rusty after spending several months without proper training due to the war, but still managed to beat a very game Ortiz in a competitive fight. Just to put things into perspective, we have to remember that Ortiz got robbed against Teófimo López in a fight that he should have clearly won

I disagree with Brad saying that depending on how much the boxer is getting hit would determine ,if one is still the same boxer, not entirely, it also depends on the opponent. If you get a boxer in with loma whom is closer to Loma's caliber, it would be naive to not anticipate one to get hit more.

This was a draw. Loma came on at the end but didn’t win any of the first 4 rounds. Loma will have a small flurry and people will give him a round. This was an easy draw

Thank god you're not a judge. What fight were you watching? Ortiz won rounds 1,4, and 8. Maybe not even round 8.That's it. How on earth can you think Ortiz won round 3? Loma landed twice as many power punches and clocked Ortiz so good he almost got a knock down. You could argue that Ortiz won round 9. Even if you give him that round, that's all of 4 rounds that he won. I will say that Loma didn't necessarily dominate any rounds like he usually does, but he still won 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, and 12 and possibly 9. It was a closer fight than I remember, and much closer than Loma fights usually are.

Ortiz is going well. No doubt about that. Not taking anything away from him. he's a great fighter. But something is wrong with Loma. His stepping off angle is not as prevalent. Counter shots from off angle are not as prevalent. And his defence is a little off. Weird. At one point he even threw something that looked as if he was tired. That's unlike any fight I've seen him in.
