After watching the Tapes themselves and so many reactions I've just became more impressed by the genius of the team behind XG when I realized the girls aren't talking at haters generally but each girl with their lyrics and video theme is talking to a specific group of haters. Harvey who gets the most individual hate for her voice I've seen people comment they can't listen to XG because her voice and what is she doing in the interview, talking to reporters Maya is responding to some of the CA haters who comment about their fashion and hair styles and even some of their lyrics. It's why the set is a fashion shoot Cocona is partially CA as to how they genuinely listen to this kind of music and partially about their part in writing songs the second thing made me realize she isn't in a board meeting but she is sitting in with the writers taking part and the lyrics are just another example of how they are students of what came before and respected it Jurin is responding to the hate from k-pop fan bases and technically she is Simon in the video and explaining why they are x-pop.

I think Cocona might be better at rapping in her own language than in english possibly. Maya been the best makes sense since she said in her interview she is the best bilingual person in the group.

Maya will usually be most people's favorite because of her clarity, being she was raised speaking English, but she's very good lyrically. She was my fav in this. Jurin was my 2nd, Cocona my 3rd and Harvey my 4th. Cocona's whole verse was a Jay-Z scheme with so many references, pretty slept on.

It's actually my favorite one by far . I can understand why at a first listen Maya or Harvey hit more but both Jurin and Cocona went crazy (my favorites one).All of them improved in literally everything, delivery, pronounciation,pen, with double ,triple and more since tape 2. Cocona went crazy on JAY- Z I counted 12ref(she closed it with a Show & Prove ref that's a Jay-Z ref before being Jay-Z) , that Thanos ref is sick the rock fell out (Roc A Fella) the sky, .She literally doing an Encore to ref to both encore release and even had a ref to Numb that was the song mashed up from the linkin park album meteora) : "when All these meteor (also a shooting star ref) bars goin' over(H.O.V.A)their head." Jurin went stupid in the double triple and more entendre , she starts with a Last time I checked(it's how Jeezy - Trap or Die verse start) you have a f.uckin Rockit and pokemon ref in the same line ,a Royce da 5'9", and it's like this during the whole 1 min, L infant (elephant) can't read the room, a ref to can't stop won't stop Jeff Chang book , the Kobe double (beef and Bryant)on the beef scheme,her switch of flow .... that Katt Williams shay shay itw went viral,I never watched club shay shay or the itw but I knew about it and the bar is so spot on.

Just want to say I'm REALLY glad to see they haven't abandoned the XG Tapes concept. I was legit worried it was just part of the early marketing strategy and it was gonna fall by the wayside as they got busier & busier. To me it shows they aren't assuming "we made it". They are still trying to show n prove. They still have that hunger. But who made them mad? I feel like they are trying to step on someones neck with these. Each had some REALLY NICE bars but Maya's "I spit like this and look like that" bar was SICK! Can be applied in so many ways - to haters, to skeptics, to a wider rap community who might be hesitant to accept that 4 Japanese girls can come with some skills. Because they don't rap like k-pop rappers (YES I KNOW THEY AIN'T K-POP so don't come for me) because that's what people, at least here in the western hemisphere, will naturally compare them too. Just shows me they are cognizant of where they are and what they are attempting to do (speaking solely about the rap line).

Anything XG is 🔥🔥🔥. They deliver every time. XG is a breath of fresh air in this polluted world we live in LOL.
