In an interview with Bang PD (in house producer and hybe chairman) recently, he said JK wasn't sure of making an album at first. He said Scooter Braun brought seven to him and wants JK to sing it. Both Bang PD and JK loves the song and feels that this song would 'explode'. Well, it does 😅😂. There are other producers saying that it's easy working with JK. He knows what the producer wants. JK also responsible for vocal guide for most of BTS songs. Suga revealed in recent suchwita that he used JK for vocal guide to his song until the company asked him to stop because other artists feels pressured. The guide was so good that other artist finds it hard to add their own colour.

JK’s “Golden” album has “Please Don’t Change” featuring DJ Snake (also as a producer) on it that will have afrobeats! “Closer to You” features Major Lazer and it’s R&B with reggaeton rhythm. The main track “Standing Next to You” has the “Seven” team behind it. It’s retro-funk/punk style. Every track has at least a Grammy nominated (if not winner) producer or writer on it. The album’s going to be 🔥.

BTS have a great relationship with their in-house producers… they have mostly been working with the same team since they were all broke nobodies recording in a garage. They all rose up together. 🥺 But the BigHit producers make the BTS sound, and each member seems to have different goals for their solo sound. Jimin, for example, chose to stick 100% with the in-house production team for Face. He trusts them. Suga does a lot of his own production/engineering, with a bit of input from the BigHit producers (well, one guy in particular 😝). Jhope and RM sometimes produce too, but they both relied on the in-house team for the tracks on Jack In the Box and Indigo, plus a couple of guest producers. V and Jungkook, on the other hand, chose to use all outside producers for their debut solo albums. V, I think just wanted to try something different… out of all the members, his personal music taste and style is the most unlike BTS’s usual sound, and Layover was his chance to be unique. JK though… he has a totally different goal than the rest of the members. He has said he wants to be a crossover artist-a kpop idol who is also successful as a western soloist (something that has never been done). His ultimate goal, basically, is to be a huge global pop star. 😊😊 For that, he is working with the biggest, most influential western producers that he can, trying to get a foothold in the US music scene, I think. It’s very telling that he chose to make his entire debut album in English. I’m rooting for him. If anyone can pull this off, it would be JK. 😊

The tracklist of ‘Golden’ has been already released and it shows the credits too and these days we have gotten more details about each song. The album has 11 tracks omg (Including 3D and also Seven the clean and explicit version) I wasn’t expecting that many lol I thought it would be like 5-6 songs like the other vocal line members solo albums and mostly bc he mentioned in a Suchwita episode that he hadn’t start working in the album yet, he just worked on Seven back then so yeah, I was really surprised 😂 I’m so excited!!

JK seems like he would be a dream for any producer to work with. Comes prepared, works quickly and decisively, delivers a clean vocal every time, and is incredibly receptive to feedback from the producer. On top of that, he’s polite and humble. And a perfectionist… he would do takes over and over without a single complaint, all to get that perfect final sound. He may be the main vocalist of the biggest group in the world, but he’s as far from a diva as one can get.

When scooter got a hold of this song, the first person popped in his head was JK. He said it had to be JK so he hit Bang PD up and Mr Bang showed or JK and he loved it on first listen. Ppl like them have them magic ears especially JK being pitch perfect he knows what’s good so he jumped on it. They knew that it will blow like a mf with this song plus JK combined. Big hit has in house producers, Bang Pd is a producer and songwriter. Hybe has different labels with their own producers and even before Hybe they did worked with outside producers.. I would guess a Bang PD decision. With Hybe they took over an American label, and they I guess they have lots of connections... Both of these two producers are quite on demand .. Andrew Watt, I've heard more about him, he seems to be a great producers and works with different kind or artists, different music genres... I was impressed to hear that he work with the Rolling Stones on this newly released album, as a co-writer and producer on the entire album

it was Jk who made that call but i bet with alot of pressure from Hybe American label. they knew jk has global appeal and can sing like an amarican pop singer. and JK also want to sing multiple genres and styles so it is a good practice for him.
