@@elandsoph28 They finished barely over .500 in 2018 with those guys, then had to rely on a miraculous run including key midseason acquisitions to reach the postseason in 2019, then finished way under .500 from 2020-22. They were a losing team with all those guys, because they didn't have the pieces in the system to put around them. They were the ultimate stars-and-scrubs team, and it crashed any time the stars were injured or playing poorly. The had the choice of either a) keep the stars and keep going over the soft cap to field a competitive team around them with obviously diminishing returns, or b) blow it up and rebuild.
