The NordicTrack 2450 has been updated for 2023. A lot of the features and design are the same as the previous model, but there have been some changes. Overall though, the 2450 continues to be one of our top recommended models. We love this treadmill for running for multiple reasons.
The 2450 has a 3.6 CHP motor that’s pretty quiet, responsive, and capable of handling a lot of use. If you want to train for a race, this one is a great pick. The motor goes up to 12 mph to give you plenty of speed to work with, too.
One of our favorite aspects of the 2450 is the deck cushioning. It is soft underfoot and shock absorbing to not only lessen the impact on your joints, but it just feels good to run on. NordicTrack Treadmills have some of the softest cushioning we’ve tested, and the 2450 is certainly one of them.
A noticeable difference between this model and the previous 2022 model is the size. This version is a little more compact making it a better option for more homes. It takes up slightly less space, while still handling a lot of use. The deck is where the size is the most apparent. It is 20” wide versus 22”. Other comparable models in its class are 22” wide. Our reviewers don’t notice much of a difference when we’re using either sized decks, but it’s visually noticeable. If you like a wider surface to move on, check out the NordicTrack Incline Trainers.
The 60” long running surface accommodates most running strides, so users should be able to run comfortably on the deck. Another convenient feature of the deck is that it folds up when you’re not using the treadmill. It also has 2 transportation wheels so you can move it around fairly easily.
Another change is the incline range. It goes up to 12% versus 15%. This isn’t a huge difference, but we would like to see the 15% incline added back on a future upgrade. The deck declines to -3% which might not seem like much, but trust me, it helps to add more versatility to your training.
The NordicTrack Commercial 2450 is extremely functional. The console is streamlined and easy to navigate. There are numbered quick-touch buttons on either side of the screen that make adjusting the speed and incline, seamless. Also on the console is the large 22” touch screen. It’s very adjustable and can be tilted up and down as well as pivoted from side to side.
The screen is enabled with iFit which comes free for the first month. iFit offers thousands of trainer-led workouts filmed indoors and out. The outdoor classes are impressive and filmed in beautiful locations all over the world. iFit isn’t required to use the 2450, but it certainly helps make your workouts more interactive and entertaining.
Overall, the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 Treadmill is consistently on our best treadmills list because it is comfortable, functional, interactive, quiet, and now a little more compact.
