You should have let that mortar dry a few more days it would have look more realistic when you were digging it out and I can tell you from experience that gold doesn't tarnish but copper turns green and so does some brass when its not pure .

Your a very lucky guy to find such antiquities! any idea on dating your finds? looks like a knight templar statue! what country are you in? For me to see some still pictures of your finds at the end of your video cleaned up after using an 'ultrasonic cleaner' (not expensive) so as not to damage your finds would be great to see!

I have to chime in on this. Those items you keep rubbing your thumb across are potentially fragile and you could be knocking things off of them. And the jewels won’t shine from back then. They didn’t have the technology to bring the stones like diamonds to a finished product to the appearance we are use to seeing these days so your viewers wouldn’t know if they were real or not anyway. Just a dust brush like a fine paint brush is all you need. Ned treating them like sandpaper
