My very healthy 8 year old shorkie stopped eating and was vomiting all of the sudden and now having seizures.I was going to take him to the vet but my poor Teddy bear has now left us😭 I am totally heartbroken right now and it’s 1am. The next couple of weeks are going to be so hard without his presence😭 he was such a character❣️

My puppy has diarrhea but is still very energetic. The vet just gave us antibiotics and prebiotics.

I have 10 weeks puppy. When I brought him home he did not eat dry food from the seller, so I boiled him chicken breast and after diarrhea started. We visited VET 3 times. We got some paste for him, and another dose of panacur. His stools were examined and no issue were found. At the moment he still has diariah. After night it is bright yellow colour runny diarrhea, day time it just a normal colour diarrhea. He is very playful, very active, he is eating dry food Hills with chicken not bad. I started to think maybe he is allergic to chicken? As it started after I gave it to him. Want him to be healthy and strong. Normal puppy.

I would love advice. Our poodle is 3 months old. He had his 2nd shots a week and a half ago. The day after I was to give him his deworming med pill but it is also a flea and tick pill. Well he has had diarrhea about 6 times since then. It improved when I fed him chicken breast and ride for one full day then I went back to his kibble and some soft dog food..now he is back to diarrhea😟 he was very healthy at his appointment. The breeder also deformed him before I picked him up..so is this from the 3 vaccines they gave or that pill the day after. All I know is that he was perfect before I went to the vet.

SO I have had my puppy since may 27th. The first week she had diarrhea I freaked out with the blood and took her to the ER. Covid and no vets taking her. 400 dollars later I Was told she was fine. Now 2 days ago she got diarrhea again and it is pure water the color of pumpkin because I was trying that. It did not work. No lethargy, still acting like a normal 3 1/2 month old pup but it is scary help... I tried chicken and rice tonight within 3 minutes she was out the door.

so my brand new puppy (4 month old) has soft stool, not diarrhea but it's not the tootsie rolls I'm used to seeing. It comes out like soft serve ice cream and maintains a formed shape. He -has- vomited twice, mostly of the food. In one vomit it was basically looked like a couple of soaked kibbles and saliva. He plays lots, drinks lots, eats his kibble, etc. I dont know if I should be worried or if I should just change try to the food first? His poop also smells strongly, stronger than a human's. It's kind of hard to see a doctor these days with covid going around.

Heya Dr. Alex, hope you're doing well! We have now got a friend for Molly, she is a (nearly) 8 month old Goldador called Pontiac (stepdad loves American classic cars!). She was one of a few left over from a litter, so we got her at 5 months old. Ever since we've had her however, and she went on to food we have given her, she has had regular repeated episodes of diarrhea. She shows no other signs of illness is mostly very playful. We had her on a chicken-based puppy food first, but then switched her onto wainwrights that was fish-based. On that she started having firmer poos, but when that little bag was running out we started incorporating her original chicken food back to see. She very quickly got diarrhea again. So we got another little bag of the wainwrights fish biscuits again and she seemed to be not too bad again, however with loose stools here and there. Then she started rubbing her buim on the floor - Ah... worming time - this was at the start of this month. There were definitely worms - unsurprising really beacuse she tries to eat practicallt everything, including rabbit poo at the field and her own poo, which we've been working on and she's doing better with that although still will try to if you don't watch her. Once that bag of food was running out, we think that it could potentially be chicken that she has the problem with. However mum is not keen on spending out for the wainwrights as it's a bit pricey for her, so she quickly grabs what she can find that isn't chicken based from.... Lidl. A cheap turkey-based food that's first ingredient is Maize :/ Well, we tried her on it - but diarrhea fully back again. We stopped her on that and fed her on boiled rice mixed with tinned makeral for a few days and her poo started firming up a bit. So then I ordered her some Autarky biscuit food, theirr grain free fish-based one and she's now on that which I've tried to introduce a bit at a time mixed with last portions of the rice she had, but now she's getting loose stools again :( But she's only been on it a few days so far, so basically I was wondering, how long should we continue her on it before writing it off? We are also only giving her cod skin natural treats and sprats, and on her lickimat I mush a bit of banana and small amount of 100% peanut butter. She does also get a small amount of goat's milk in the morning too after her morning walk. On her dinner, I have been giving her a scoop and a half of natural digestion aid powder which has pro & prebiotics, plus a sprinkle of seaweed (like 'plaqueoff', for her teeth). Hope you might be able to advise x
