In today’s video, we go to a call in which the tree trimmers or somebody else had somehow cut one of the lines to the main power coming into the house. And what it ended up doing, was blowing all the starting components. Even though this system would start and run I recommended just replacement of components. Due to the conditions and the age, the customer decided to replace the system in the end run. I would assume they will take up the change their insurance.
Hope y’all enjoyed the video if you could smash that 👍 button and SUBSCRIBE!! Appreciate yall 🫡

Moving from Gulf Shores Alabama the first main difference is air handlers in the garage ! Took me a while to get use to it. But anything to keep us out of attics !

No doubt bro!! Where for the most part were they located in AL? I was use to basements and attics. Love when we get the garages and now the new construction isn’t to bad!

@@KoolinwithKrauss I've never understood the obsession with putting them in attics I mean make a closet in the house somewhere if there's no basement anything seems better than attics.

@@KoolinwithKrauss mostly located in attics or center of the homes in closets ! Also a lot of package units . GS is basically like Daytona beach but way nicer so high rises and rooftops . It really is uncommon to see one in a garage up there but now working here I get it ! Sometimes sweat like crazy though

@@KoolinwithKrauss I just bought that Supco M500 Megohmmeter - grainger has them for like $85 worth ever penny. So much easier to test plus you have a visual to show the customer rather than just explaining

What kind of Armaflex do you use? I'm in So. Fl. and mine is going on 5 years old and looking nasty. I want to swap it out with some good UV protected insulation. I also see there UV tape you can put over it. I want the best stuff out there. Whatcha recommend? Just changed out my 3 year UV bulbs. I needed 4. I have 2 systems with duals. Those 3 years aren't cheap.
@KoolinwithKrauss
@KoolinwithKrauss 2 ай бұрын
What I like to use is the UV rated armorflex, “k-flex”. It’s much better to the sun we deal with for sure. It’s better than the paint ppl use, and the tape works well just gets dingy looking over time!! You ain’t lying not cheap, but would you say worth it? To have the lights

@Balticblue93 2 ай бұрын
Yes, you 100% have to have your EPA 608 Core and at least a Type II but I recommend Universal. You don’t need NATE certifications, but they will certainly help you understand way more. I have 17 certs, but I am also an ICC G29 Master Mechanical Contractor in Colorado. We don’t have HVAC licenses like electricians and plumbers. One of like 9 states that don’t. But I recommend AC Service Tech study books and videos plus HVAC School in Florida online videos and phone app. The best school I have found for the price is in Oklahoma in Okmulgee Green Country Trade school. Their 1000 hour 10 month course is fantastic. The schools is Denver for HVAC are a joke and just as overpriced as the big companies. Leonardi HVAC school for $2500 is only like 156 hours for $2500. My guys start there unless they have good experience.
