Harry I just gotta say you're probably one of the best production climbers in the world. I've been climbing for almost 3 years now and have been watching guys in trees since well before I was climbing and ever since I stumbled upon your channel it's clear you're in a different league. Hope you start uploading more content again soon! it's been awhile. stay safe up there man.

Been watching you for awhile now. You are a straight beast. Every time I come across a 100ft oak to remove I just think about you calling 100 footers small 😂 your a legend 🤘

Ur my new tree trimmer videos- i like watching true pros doing a correct job taking care of trees- theres to many want-a-be's out there- or snobs that think their the only ones that know how to care for trees- i learned how to hollow prune a green tree way back in the 70s- done correctly the tree looks great and thrivrs better

I would like to work doing this; sometimes you just know what you will like before you try it. But of course, it takes training and the proper formation. Awesome work, lovely tree.

Labored breathing with little movement. Nerves. Very understandable. Flip lining up that smooth bark is not fun. Plus the movement in the limb you're on. Constantly wondering if it's going to break underneath you. Really good job.

my climbing brother..... i love that you pray before work..... so respectful to our GOD.....i have lost 7 partners that died as timber fallers and climbers..... this shit is dangerous.... any knots with big loops on the throw ball is a joke , bowlines etc. they get hung up on everything..... i use a slipped anchor hitch ,, but i recently came up with a great idea for the ring that gets hung up as well..... i either tape the ring round and round with electric tape until there is just enough room to get the string in there.... ive advanced since then to slipping a 2 inch piece of small size bicycle inner tube over the ring to hide the open ring ,, then just pull down the tube for a second to tie the hitch...... and for all climbers out there i will share my latest invention for carbiners that concern your life.... i slip a piece of flexible hose thats a little larger than the twisting part of the beener thingy, then over the open gate stem, then shut the beener, then slide the 3 inch flexible hose over the twisting stem thingy,, and now you have the bigger flexible thing spinning around the outside of the twisting thingy on the beener,, so now its impossible for the beener to open when branches etc, rub, push and twist etc. that would normally open the gate which has happened to me before....... ive been climbing big trees for 31 years and also a timber faller the same amount time.... i hope this saves people in their future..... i learn a lot from you Harry and your great team...... roy.... mendocino ca. u,s,a,

Times have changed. When I was working as an Arborist one never used spikes when deadwooding or pruning.
@1BrianFantana1
@1BrianFantana1 Жыл бұрын
It looks like he only wore spikes on the limb he was removing, so basically treated that one limb as it's own removal. I'd say it's fine to wear spikes on that, besides there's no real other way to do it
@dertyjerz3
@dertyjerz3 Жыл бұрын
Yes I noticed he had spikes on obviously for the giant dead lead. And kept them on afterwards. But you can tell in the third person shots his work positioning was that of a prune without hooks
