Hi i know im commenting on a very old video but im pretty blown away at how easy that method seems. Im looking for a nice way to craft sturdy but good-looking trees for over a year now and it seems like i finally found a method thanks a lot !! The only thing im lacking is that green flocking that you are using for the paste. What exactly is that and is it available online ? Thanks in advance

Woodland scenics brand flock is what I use, and my go to is “green blend”

Why did you paint the foam if you were just going to cover it up with flocking?

Well, sometimes the flock doesn’t want to take completely, and the foam underneath will show through without a base coat. Also, if you paint a slightly darker shade under your flock, it gives it a slightly more realistic look, it doesn’t seem as, flat? I guess is the word for it? Gives it a more realistic feel.

I was thinking the same thing about the under painting of the foam. I get having the base color, but the dry brushing might get lost under the flocking. I’m thinking about trying something similar, but maybe without the flocking.
