Costin Chioreanu Music Video series (8 of 8) We’re coming up on the 7th anniversary of Aleah’s death this April, and in case I don’t do something specifically for it this can certainly serve as a tribute. It’s the title track from her and partner Juha Raivio’s doom metal project Trees of Eternity. This was one of the tracks not on their 2013 demo but was on the 2016 album released after her death, meaning it was likely written after she knew she was terminal. Aleah’s long-time nickname in the Scandinavian metal and folk communities was “the Nightingale,” so it feels almost like she’s writing her own eulogy here and it hits pretty hard. Sorry to end on a downer, but I hope you liked the series (and Costin’s work).

I got this CD 2 years ago "Hour of the Nightingale" and I listen to it every single night five times through completely and I've been doing that for like a year-and-a-half to two years now I'm so glad you guys do these reaction videos for trees of Eternity "Aleah Stanbridge because this is my number one favorite music of all times she really helps me a lot to go through some hard times in my own life... I used to cry every single time I watched all her videos it was like I could not help it and it took a long time for me to be able to watch the beautiful videos and listen to her singing and not cry, I just pictured her in heaven happy❤❤

Stunning! Simply stunning, she has set the bar so high for female vocalists that it's going to take something monumental to get anywhere close. Taken far too soon but what a legacy she has left for us all to enjoy.

the passing of Alia was truly tragic, such a wonderful voice, a Nightingale indeed, the album is amazing, I believe Trees Of Eternity could have gone on to be huge...cheers to GWC for this request, I look forward to your Chelsea Wolfe selection
