I agree. 3 mags and you are set for most self defense situations. Recoil so low that Grammy can keep it on targeted, and being 22lr you could practice controlling it all day on a budget!

Seriously if you only need to stop one target, this would be devastating amounts of quick firepower on target. .22LR is not a very powerful cartridge, but if you load up the hottest .22 you can get and cycle safely, this would obliterate whatever you ultimately mag dump into. It would be like getting hit by a 20 gauge full of smaller buckshot but with a continuous impact that lasts half a second. This may not sound like a lot for those who have shot a .22 before, but it'd absolutely be lethal on a human torso with A and C zone hits. Too bad it's illegal to make new ones, I'd buy one just to have as a fun range toy. Who knows, maybe with a little tinkering someone can rig up a bigger magazine for one xD. IDK maybe I'm biased, I'm imagining this thing modded into something akin to a pistol sized American 180 with lower magazine capacity. If nothing else, the original version would make a great backup concealed carry gun

Special care must be taken when loading rimfire mags, whether for semi or full auto. You have to position each round carefully so that its rim is in front of that of the cartridge below it, or you're virtually guaranteed to end up with a feed failure. I speak from experience, because we had both a Savage Model 64 (a great plinking/small game rifle) and a 1911-based, Spanish made .22 semi-auto pistol when I was a young man.

I'm afraid I can't oblige there, my friend. My family and I got rid of all our firearms back in the 90s, because we saw where Canadian firearms laws were going and wanted no part of it. I'm still legally eligible for a PAL, but I haven't bothered getting one since because I can't afford the required two safes. (One for the actual firearms, the other for ammunition, mags and firing pins and/or bolts/breech blocks.) Yeah, pretty ridiculous, isn't it?🤣

KuniCross Depends if the firing pin hits the the breech face. Perfectly fine to do with pretty much any rimfire gun especially autoloaders without bolt stops are designed to not damage themselves. I can't even begin to remember how many times I've dry fired my .22s and I've never had a problem.

While many people tend to look down on .22 LR as a defensive round, at point blank range it penetrates better than the mighty .45 ACP. Think about eight rounds of hollow-point .22 LR hitting centre mass; some will almost certainly be deflected by the ribs, but others are bound to tear up the heart and lungs something fierce. That's pretty much "game over," right there. Even worse, imagine what would happen to someone who caught all eight rounds square in the face. .22LR can easily punch through the skull on the way in, but loses so much energy doing so that it can no longer punch through the other side of the skull. Instead, it just keeps bouncing around until it finally comes to rest. The end result? Voila, thoroughly scrambled brains! This could be a great "last ditch" defensive weapon. You're facing a home invasion, and you've already emptied your primary weapon, but there's still one bad guy left; point this little monster right between his eyes, squeeze the trigger, and " hey presto," no more bad guys. So maybe it's not an ideal main carry weapon, but "up close and personal," it could be a Hell of a good backup.

Pitt Brad transferable means just what it implies. That the machine gun is legally transferable from one legal owner to another. I have a transferable NFA firearm and I can sell it to anyone that can legally own such a weapon. Non-transferable would be a machine gun that was made recently for military use only, and you wouldn't be able to transfer that at all to anyone. Make sense?

If a machine gun is transferable then you can sell it/ give it to someone, basically its like any other gun and its like that because you have the proper papers for it. if a machinegun is not transferable that means only you can own it and after you die you can leave it to somebody in your will and thats the only way someone else can legally own it.

It relates to US firearms law regarding what machine guns a civilian can legally possess. Transferable machine guns are ones that were registered prior to May 1986. These can be owned by anyone. Non transferable guns are ones registered after May 1986 - only military, police, or special gun dealers/manufacturers can own these.
