Just picked up the Marlin+ 6 the other day and can't wait to get out and ride. It was a choice of this or the Specialized Turbo Tero 3.0, but the guy told me it was a horrible bike for what I wanted it for and never got to even touch the bike, so went to Trek they let me ride it I fell in love and walked away with the Marlin+ 6 100% happy I did. A few upgrades and it'll be perfect. I was thinking of getting my Fox 38 Float with my Race Face pedals and hillbilly grid 2.6's out of storage for this bike. This Trek has so much potential.

Interesting, you mention you didn’t think the price to upgrade to the 8 is worth it; yet, those upgrades you mention you would make to the 6 are already in the 8, and it seems the price of your upgraded would exceed the delta between the 6 and 8…? Thanks for creating and sharing this video!

I just did the same with my marlin6+. Upgraded to deore xt first

I chose the Marlin E6 and love it! Entry level or not it a great bike the covers all my needs…The Giant Talon was my other choice…I picked the Marlin for a lighter bike and just a better rider experience
