Join us as we start our first ever trekking experience through the Himalayas in Nepal on the Tamang cultural heritage trail! Our first day is filled with wonderful people and beautiful scenes! We start the day from Syabrubesi Nepal and head towards Gatlang. We hope to get a real glimpse at the traditional lifestyle and culture of the Tamang people - this trail hasn't been developed as much as the traditional hiking routes and is less popular with tourists. We get a lovely warm welcome by all the people we meet on the trail - especially the children in Gatlang! We stay at Paldor Peak Guest House where we try Dhindo, the local dish and learn some Tamang language.

If you're new here - welcome and so we're happy to have ya here!! We are Lost In Transit aka Tom and Iz - we normally live in a Ford Transit Van and travel around Europe. We recently left our van in a Romanian airport car park and spontaneously booked flights to Nepal to backpack for a while! We're Tom and Iz, a young couple from Cornwall, the UK, who live and travel full time in our van La Bamba. We decided to take a break from the van for a while and go backpacking! We love nature and try to spend as much time as possible wild swimming, hiking and being outdoors! 10 years ago we had a whirlwind summer romance, then went our separate ways to travel and go to university and fast forward 4 years later, we found ourselves back in the same place at the same time as each other and the rest is history. ✨
