I have been listening to Tremonti's music for most of my life (Creed, Alter Bridge, Solo work), and I really feel like I have never been disappointed with his music. I honestly feel that he is one of the best song writers of my generation.

He's the EVH of our generation, genius level of creativity that you can see in every project hes involved with. Song writing along with technical skill in his playing technique much like EVH. Prob why Wolfgang loves him (WVH played bass filling in for Alter Bridge member who was ill)

+TheNerdyGinger no I hate people that hear one song and there like omg this is my song or this is the greatest band ever then there are those who say oh this person sold out or this person sucks. it's that people twist things so it makes them look like assholes sometimes. all the fan boys and girls are just annoying. also the radio(am/fm not satillite radio) have ruined plenty of bands either by over playing their songs so they get to the point people hate them or the band gets a big hit on the radio that they want more so they conform their sound so there always on the radio. the biggest example of both is nickelback.

It's such a shame seeing the state of the music industry these days. A song like this would have been a number 1 single 15 or 20 years ago. So would Tremonti's first album. This music would sell like crazy if only the music industry would actually play it so people can hear it. Instead you have to dig for it.

One thing I love about Tremonti is that every song instantly memorable without needing to do something special or wacky. I could easily hum all the tones to the songs on All I was after just one time of listening

Completely agree. His musicality is far beyond most mainstream artists, having the ability to blend blistering speed metal with rhythm and lyrics that are memorable and catchy, so while it's hard and fast it's also extremely palatable for any rock fan, not just metalheads. I'm a huge AB fan, but I've been disappointed by solo projects in the past and Myles is just on another level so I was apprehensive about Tremonti. That said, the first solo album was so epic, somehow perfectly walking that line of being familiar to AB fans (and what we love about their sound) while being unique in it's own right. By all indications, this album should be even better. Between Alter Bridge, Tremonti, and Slash/Myles we're a pretty spoiled bunch. Crossing my fingers for a Myles solo at some point, too.

Dave Rogers He has said that he want his solo album to be something that he can tour with just an acoustic guitar so it will probably be something completly different, and he's been working on it since 2003-4? So I think it won't be done sometime soon, he's a busy man.

I've been through a lot of music, from extreme metal to prog to jazz, etc, etc... I still maintain that Tremonti is one of the greatest song writers of the modern age. You get catchy yet brutal riffs, genius vocal melodies, amazing lyrics that aren't cheesy or cringy, blinding solos and let's not forget that gorgeous tone. Something happened during the creed era that I don't really understand, but since 2005, this man has been ruling the land of riff.

You didn't like Creed? I thank God for Creed man. It was different than this, but they still had slammin riffs and were ruling the charts back then, right along side rap and pop. You don't see rock doing that today, which is a shame. I agree with you concerning Tremonti though, excellent stuff!

I had a strange relationship with Creed, loved Scott's voice and just the general sound, but I only liked about 3 songs from each album, don't know why. But the ones I liked, I loved, My Sacrifice, Bullets, Higher, What if, and a few others to me were all anthems of that era.

Tremonti is the man that got me playing guitar, love everything this guy does. Just read his interview and he said he always wanted to be recognized as a song writer and not just a guitar player but I've always thought of him as both. This song is one of my first tremonti songs. I totally agree that Mark is one of the greatest guitarist of our time, but everyone forgets the incredible bassist that played on this album and is even in the love shots, Wolfie Van Halen. Such skill on the bass.

I just created a youtube account just so I could comment on this song, been a fan of Mark Tremonti for a long time now, since Creed anyway, and I gotta say wish you would have been Tremonti the band from the start!!! Love this song its heavy and can sing along or try to...lol. Been looking for a metal band that can go heavy and not make me feel like I'm worshiping the devil with grunting and screaming. Following Alter Bridge a long time, they've inspired and helped me... couldn't ask for any more, but there is something overwhelmingly hooky and legit about Tremonti's solo work. I just listened to Champion, and then came to do this, and it's just truer, fresher. Chorus melody is unique AF too. I shouldn't compare, I'll just say a bravo to you Mark. What a musician.

Hearing this song live and seeing Mark Tremonti this past weekend at Rock on the Range was too incredible to describe. I was ecstatic when he started playing this. I was hoping he would. His performance was spectactular!!! I couldn't figure out why they had Myles perform one day, Tremonti another, and didn't have Alter Bridge Perform. Hopefully, Mark is back at Rock on the Range next year!!!!!

well... Petrucci is really unbeatable, but i still prefer compositions of Satriani and the genious Buckethead with everlasting melodic solos. By the way, Stream of Counsciousness in the track that really makes me surprised by Petrucci. That makes you brain fry (i love Brain and Proff by mark)

I've been listening to music for as long as I can remember. It's just baffling how Tremonti has put out 4 albums, all of which consist of hits. You can never skip one song on any of his albums. He always has something special, something to say, something to communicate. And he's one hell of a singer!
