The art is epic! The rules system looks pretty solid too, though I still need to get some practice games in to get a feel for it.

@@Karlmakesstuff the moderators of the community as well as the creators have come out and basically said that if you don't follow their ideology you don't belong in the hobby. It started when the mods got butthurt when someone suggested a very well thought out Aztec faction who sided with Hell. All because 'how dare you claim that a minority were the bad guys' .

​​@@KarlmakesstuffI'm not sure your opinion because he isn't for everyone but TheArchCast made a great video and stream explaining what happened and how the Devs have already decided that if you don't follow their beliefs, you are not welcome to participate on any level. Which pretty much means this is dead on arrival. If they are already turning away a massive chunk of Interested buyers before actually becoming established.

@@xzanthoss-6982 not my cup of tea but thank you for taking the time to add context. As far as ideology goes, from what I understand their rules boil down to a.) Don't start fights and b.) Let people enjoy their games with toy soldiers any way they like, both of which are sound rules IMO.

@@rasbaindechain7863 the Aztec faction bit sounds weird on a couple of levels. Not up to date with the lore but I was under the impression that the heretic faction was from all over, and that the culture themed ones are human specific? In any case, given that the Aztec empire would still have been going strong in that verse, calling them a minority hardly sounds right. Feels like there might be a bit more to that but as far as I'm concerned it's their community and it's their business as to how it's moderated. I didn't think their rules are unreasonable though they're rather verbose, which is probably necessary given the number of people. I haven't gotten any test games in yet, but whether I keep playing or not depends on whether it plays well or not, because I'll be playing with my friends in person. If they suddenly make everything pink fluffy unicorns I'd stick with the older version but that would find a market too 😁
