I got my ears pierced in high school. I’m giving away my age, but back then, it was considered gangster. I was a NWA fan and saw Ice Cube with earrings and decided to get mine done as well. Fast forward to today and earrings on men are as vogue as ever.

Lol "you can use clip ons if your not ready to fully commit." I just went and got my first pierceings last friday and i got both lobes and double helixes on both ears. I went from no earings to six earings.

I wear earring in my left ear. People say that I am too old for it (35) and it isn't ok for me because of my job (doctor). But... I don't care. I feel so good when I wear it. My favorite is a little thick hoop.

Men have been wearing earrings sicne 7000 years ago, it's not anything new at all, in many cultures it's normal for men to wear earrings. Also in Europe it was common during Rome times, also medieval times.

If you look at indigenous cultures men always wore earrings, long hair, jewelry, etc. But when those tribes were conquered and colonized you saw men stop doing that and adopt the practices of their conquerors.
