I knew several DKE brothers when I went to Penn 35 years ago so I spent some time at that house, and I have to say it looks exactly the same as it did then. Don't think they have cleaned up or made any improvements to the house in 35 years, except for the "newly renovated bathroom" that looked like they just put some new tile up. I would hate to see what the unrenovated bathrooms look like! It also looks like the brotherhood increased their meathead factor considerably with the rugby and football players. Back when I went there DKE had most of the swim team and some assorted other jocks.

It's not in the middle of Philly. Billy Penn is in the middle of Philly. The Ritz Carlton where the awning collapsed under a bunch of idiot Iggles fans is in the middle of Philly (no hate, I might have been up there too, if I were actually in Philly and it was 15 years ago). This place is not only in one of the nicest looking parts of the city, it has an incredible location. It's a... [trying so hard to not curse...] fffff... ff... sad, sad situation, that this beautiful, old building (the stone!), on Locust ffff... ff... freaking Walk, looks like this. omg.. what a shhh... shhii...mess. My father was a member way back, about 50-55 years ago. Penn undergrad, Penn medical, Pennsy Hospital residency. He passed away a year and a half ago and I just learned recently that he was in Deke. Cue the search, notice there's no site for the Penn Chapter... keep searching... notice that the one thing I see on FB looks like a fake site that someone stuck up to front for Russian troll activities... Keep searching... and find this. Man, I am so disappointed. I know he wouldn't join what I see here. smdh. . . . .... . . . . . I mean, people... when you're putting up your 8 foot rim, or planning your paint(?!?!) party, or strutting around in your long-sleeve tees and, shiny shorts (because your formal shorts are at the cleaners, I guess), puffing out in a freakin' bow-legged swagger that would shame Yosemite Sam, to take up as much space as possible and show off your beefcakey build... maybe, maybe think that someone is going to be around fifty years from now, and how will you present to those people? The sad broken down bookshelf, with the old books, that few in number, probably deserve a bit more care, that you call an archive. The Internet NEVER FORGETS... You're going to go looking for a job, very soon, maybe already have, and this crap is going to come up when they do a background check... Remember, the Internet NEV-ER.... FORrr... (pausing in case you need to catch up) GETSSSS! You're going to be 45 someday, and your adolescent child is going to dig this up somehow, and, if you are worth your salt, or anyone's salt, you will be mortified. I guarantee you the child will. Man, I feel so sad right now. I mean... I guess... wow... [by the way, if you get a job in NYC after graduation, do not bring that walk with you, you'll get cut down on day one if you try to take up space like that on the subway. Probably by a 4'11" great-grandmother with an unintelligible accent, from somewhere that use to have alot of wars and probably still does. And what she's seen and lived through, you don't want to mess with her getting to that seat on the train. Hey, maybe you know this, but, fyi, just in case.]
