We have a collection of trains, station, houses, etc. but no place to set them up. We had a great setup when we lived in North Carolina, but no room here in Fla. They are boxed up in the closet. We enjoyed watching this very much. Thanks for sharing, have a great week. (Like 17 ) 👍💯

This is a very impressive railroad museum. The Exhibit Operator is very knowledgeable right down to every detail and creative display model. I was fascinated to see the old San Diego. Thanks for taking us along to this amazing exploration. Enjoyed! 🚆👍

I was able to visit this in 1996. It was amazing then and still looks great. As a model railroader, I can really appreciate all the planning and work that went, and still goes into this. All that is missing is representation of S/gauge/scale, which is the best of them all. It's not too big and not too small.

I had a job at a hobby shop while attending high school, we sold a lot of train cars and engines of varying scales to serious modelers. It's was wonderful to listen to John talk about the creation of scale models from scratch and it's quite impressive what they've done inside the museum. If there was a shining light during my early Navy career station in San Diego (1975-1978) it was the time I spent with the model railroad community there in town. I truly appreciated not being stereotyped as a long-hair, dope-smoking, commie, pink'o faggot as I was in high school by local model railroads where I grew up. But most of all, I really enjoyed all the fantastic weekends in San Francisco chasing SP Trainmaster on the commuter lines as well as train spotting on Tehachapi, Donner Pass, and at Dunsmuir. It kept me out of a lot of trouble and definitely catapulted my Navy Career to the next level of success. Thank you all very much from the bottom of my heart for everything. Keep up the good work out there and pass the torch on to the next generation of model railroaders. Well done and thank you!
