What is a great powder with large tune windows for a 22-250 and 50 gr bullets?????

Thanks for the question. H380 has been the most accurate - however it has a small window - so I stopped using it. I have been having great success with R-15 for the past 4 seasons with 52 gr bullets. I want to try a few newer powders this year to see if they can beat R-15, but I doubt they will. Hope this helps.

When you do the initial powder charge weight steps, how far off the lands are you seating the bullet?

Depends on the rifle. 30BR (competition) +.010. Most hunting rifles = right at the touching point, if the magazine will allow.

@@ctdshooting Hello Todd. Quick update. I am getting read to do load development for 2 different rifles. The competition rifle I am going to start at .020 jam. That way I only have one way to go (down = shorter COL) Same is true with the hunting rifle except I will max out at .005 jam. Hope this helps. I thought I better explain my changes.

Yea, they sometimes make it easier to see the trends and explaining. However, group shape is also important. Good shooting

Wrong... that is a load node based on seating depth.... forget this... find speed node, do not shoot groups!!! Get your best load for minimum SD/ED and then do groups for depth seating. Depth seating will tune ANY LOAD!!
