Your hair looks great! However, can I share a couple of tips that might allow you to minimize or avoid stretching altogether? 1) Use more water and more product so that your hair has more weight prior to drying. Think hanging but not dripping. 2) Dry under a hooded dryer until your hair is about 70 percent dry. Because you have a lot of hair, you'll probably have to finish off your ends with a diffuser. The point is to allow the products to form a stronger gel cast while there's still enough water weight in the hair. You will still experience shrinkage, but not as much as if you air-dried. These are tips I learned after I started following Black Girl Curls. I haven't air-dried in two years (except for when I was on vacation in the Caribbean and when I did...shrinkage city). Products alone are only going to do so much...it's the way they're used that really makes the difference.
