Sydney is one happy child with great appetite! It must be so relaxing just have meal together. My kids just want pasta for every meal. So stressed.

She was so funny eating the avocado salad. Too cute! Loved seeing what she eats for a day. My toddlers love to pick their own food as well. I have 2 and 3 year old toddlers and a 10 year old who is super picky. 🤪

Cute video! Sydney is so adorable! I love her smirk and twinkle in her eyes when she counted 3 treats or when you 2 are baking and she wants some chocolate chips. Also love it when she says bye and blows a kiss like you. ❤🙂

Loved this video! I actually sat down with my 6 year old to show him how well your daughter eats! (He’s a terrible eater by the way!) Anyways after this video, he immediately wanted to eat just like her! It was great! I have three kids in total and all of them are picky eaters! It’s frustrating having to make 2-3 separate meals at all times!

Sydney is such a good example for other 4 year olds who just by watching might get the idea that many foods are good to eat if they are picky. Something so important that you are doing for her that will hold her in good stead throughout life is that she must choose among the things that are actually in the fridge or pantry and available to her. This is a crucial lesson for adulthood that life is choices and we must choose if we need food at a cafeteria or a pair of slacks at a clothing giveaway to get the one most pertinent to our needs and not walk away without something we need because we have overblown, unrealistic ideas of what our choices could or should be. Choose and get your belly filled. Choose and get your bum covered. Life is not all about the lavish abundance of her playroom. So it is good that she surveys the fridge supplies and chooses the strawberries, etc. And she seems to have learned to be happy with the emergency rations of eggs sunny-side-up on a waffle or some such when the pickins' are slim due to bad weather, etc. And even with your front seat car picnics, she is learning that any meal shared is a feast when enjoyed in comparative safety with people we love. And it's the power of such rituals shared that she is learning at the same time. I take my breakfast slowly, too. I am not quick to awaken fully, so prefer a more leisurely approach, which is not possible when one has to be out of the house for school or work or church. As long as she rehydrates well, milk and water are good. We water down juices as a treat at times. Does she take some water with that Cheerios snack? I can eat Cheerios as a snack or late supper if I have to be out late for some reason and don't want heavy food on my belly nearer bedtime. What a delicious and varied lunch she chose. Great mini salad idea. I am a pickles fan, too. And olives. I have a jar of pickles in my fridge at all times. She is exhibiting quite sophisticated tastes: black olives and crackers are sort of a deconstructed version of a focaccia with an olive tapenade in Italy. And its a fruit and grain, so healthy and energy-giving. Beets are beautiful, sweet, and very very nutritious. She obviously takes pleasure in her food and in sharing it with you. Such a blessing.

@@TresChicMama One thing I love about the front seat car picnics is that it is so clear from Sydney's body language throughout how she feels like such a big girl being allowed to sit in the front seat and eat alongside you.
