In 2005, our family lost 4 members in a tragic car accident. As I laid in bed crying one night and listening to music, this song came on and ministered to my broken heart. Yes, everything must change... nothing and no one is promised to us forever so we have to let people know how much we love them while they are here. Oleta and this song have a special place in my heart and I listen to it whenever I'm feeling grateful for the things and people God has blessed me with. Thank you Oleta Adams. 💓🙏

As recently as today I discovered this song is actually quite often covered, but Oleta's version was the FIRST I had ever heard. Even having seen Body heat, I don't recollect it. And for that...I am profoundly grateful!

I just wish she had better management. She was underrecorded when she was in peak voice. It's a sad loss because she had one of the best voices in the industry. Unfortunately she's nearly 70 now and her ability to sing like what you hear in this performance is long in the rearview mirror.
