I think it was for the best that he left. Had he been put through, he probably would’ve made it far during the voting rounds solely because of the love triangle storyline and his looks. Don’t get me wrong though he’s got a lovely voice

I have been looking for his next performance not knowing this conversation was actually his last one at AI. I really thought when Katy told him his not going through, Katy was just again kidding him. OMG. He may not be a better singer but he has this style of making it in music. Besides he is attracting lots of viewers because of his obviously nice chemistry with Katy. Why would the show axed him that quick? I don't even understand the management of the show anymore!

The only answer is He couldn’t be better than others so the judges didn’t want to waste his time, DQ him later would make him feel he got used and then dumped. They didn’t want to hurt him !
