Captain Obvious here but the biggest problem with the Jays offense is they signed 3 guys they didn't need. Turner, IKF and KK. That totals 31million buck. What they needed was a power hitting left fielder/dh and a good d 3rd baseman with 20hr power. That 31mil could have been spent a lot better, no doubt about that. With the pitching and 2 years left for VG and BB this is supposed to be their win window. Atkins has done some good (pitching) but crapped the bed this last off season.

Not just this last off season lol. Traded away most rbi's & lineup protection & has refused to accept responsibility for the obvious for YEARS now insultingly calling it a blip 🙄 Until Atkins & his failed approach are gone it only gets worse 🤬

Ffs STOP the bs excuses & suggestions Vladdy won't be signed longterm! ENOUGH! Zero excuse for it not being done already ZERO! Disgrace Atkins hasn't even spoken to him ONCE in all these years about any extension when he was crystal clear he never wanted to play anywhere else 🤬 FIRE ATKINS NOW!

Bellinger...why didnt we go hard for him? An injured Votto, an aged Vogelbach and Turner.

I think for a number of reasons. They had to spend so much money on pitching because they can't develop starters. They are topped out as far as payroll goes. Atkins said they wouldn't add without subtracting

@@leam89 you cant say we want ohtani but dont have ave enough for Bellinger despite being allegedly "in" for him. There was a decision made at some point to stick with what they had and it was a mistake..we still cant hit.

@@MV-gt1qu you can't compare Bellinger and Ohtani. Ohtani is a unicorn that pays for itself in advertising deals. The payroll was maxed except for Ohtani but Ohtani never intended to come to Toronto. He just used them for leverage

@@leam89Zero to do with cost of starting pitching... Biggest payrolls in Jays history squandered along with prospect capitol by Atkins incompetence. Everything to do with bad overpays like Gritchuk, IKF etc 😉

Both the skipper and GM could be gone. They lost to the Chicago white Sox's the worst team in the league. The players should be ashamed of themselves they are not thinking especially at the plate swinging at first pitches.

Poor lineup construction is on Atkins 100% He caused it & is too arrogant to admit his error & address it for YEARS! Atkins failed approach is the cause & it only gets worse until he's fired PERIOD
