Today in our Zombie Choral Canon series, we go behind the scenes with Elena Siegman...
On April 30, the Concordia University of Edmonton staged a choral concert of select Treyarch Zombies songs. It was the first time that the creative forces behind the Zombies tracks would all share a stage together. Today, we meet Elena Siegman, one of the vocalists responsible for helping to bring Zombies music to life.

I think the metal songs in BO1 are literally THE definition of the ideal metal sound. Only things that could make the songs better would be more guitar harmonies and guitar solos, but the vocals and production and style and everything are all perfect heavy metal.

Fun fact: Elena was the producer on Guitar Hero 2 in 2005. So it was pretty bittersweet first discovering she did the music for zombies when I was younger. She rocks !!!!

It's awesome that they recorded these and posted these videos. I've always wanted to get some insight on Elena's personal take on what she's singing and producing. I think she's really cool and great at what she does. I remember in BO1 trying to find all sorts of videos about her and wanted a live version or interview or something on this beautiful voice I was hearing while enjoying this game. And now that they've finally interviewed her is a gift (: these words don't come out often from me, but thank you Treyarch.
