Perfect choice for me! Im literally about to buy the safe 5 and safe 3. I love open source development and the transparency of the code that the trezor provides. im going to be using the multishare option for backup. The only problem i have is the new trezor keep metals aren't available till july 15th, so i have to wait to use the metals to add backup to my safe 5 and safe 3 but for now ill use the paper method until i can buy the trezor keep when it comes in stock heck for now i can probably buy the crypto tag odin if the keep is out of stock for a while. I'm glad i waited to buy these because they have everything i wanted for a hardware wallet. In fact, i left Ledger due to security concerns with ledger recover. Im excited to get into trezor expert to start off the setup process. Im pretty well versed in cryptocurrencies, but i want to make sure i start over with Trezor from scratch. When i started, i made mistakes while using cryptocurrencies on Ledger, and i dont want to make mistakes again. Anyways im really excited to start stashing cryptocurrencies for my portfolio.

There're no solutions, only compromises. Self custody is hard even when you own a Trezor. Keeping your seed safe is a challenge.

Disagree. Keystone Pro 3 is entirely open-source, air-gapped (incl no data-over-USB) via QR codes (camera), 3 seed phrases on 3 separate SE's, optional fingerprint scanner, firmware updatable thru microSD with checksum, does NOT have a centralized, exploitable app (ᵔᴥᵔ), has a responsive 4" color touchscreen, erase-on-tamper safety feature, generates seeds in entirely offline environment using programmatic entropy, and is cheaper than this other "convenient" trash.

just keep multiple paper backups of your words/seed phrase and put it in a fire box file box like where you'd put your original birth certificate/etc and to make it more convenient just have maybe more than one hardware wallet (optional)

@@TehObLiVioUs Solution sucks, your entire wealth is on a pieces of paper that's located in multiple locations. Doesnt matter how secure that is day can come when intruder, family member gets to see your phrase and ALL is gone.....You wouldnt even write down your email un/password on piece of paper, more locations more chances things go wrong. Self custody is terrible solution, crypto banks are future

Placed my order. I was shopping for a hardware wallet and this looks like the one for me. Not crazy about the color options, so I went with Safe 5 in black graphite. Maybe a cobalt blue or a candy red would be a good option in the future. 😉

Trezor safe 3 is not generate 24 word seed ......this is not like a upgraded ....though the model one can generate it.

Trezor Safe 3 can generate all supported seed formats including 24 words seed. You can chose and we added this option to the onboarding flow. However 12 words seed is perfectly fine and secure!

Buying a Trezor 5 doesn't make sense if it doesn't have Bluetooth, which you've been promising for a long time.🤷♂ When will there be a model with Bluetooth connectivity?

Yes, that's why you should keep your seed save and never store it in a digital form. The best way to store your seed is a metal backup -> trezor.io/store#backup-solutions

What about self custody options for the masses. 99% of people will not be able to use the blockchain so we need layer 2 solutions that offer protection equal to holding Bitcoin in a hardware wallet. Like if you use a lightning wallet then its stuck connected to the internet which can be hacked. Nice product though. I like that you offer different entry levels.

That limited edition is supposed to have "special" numbers from 1 to 2013 somewhere. That's how you can tell those Trezors come from a special edition. But yeah, it seems a bit weird anyway.

your guy's hardware wallets suck, irrelevant coins, lack of token support. this mainly just a bitcoin wallet with some trash coins added on, with that, might as well use a seed signer or a coldcard for bitcoin. if you want multicoin, ledger will do you just fine, because ledger is the best for smart contract chains period
