This was the trial journey for Chris in his new Magic Mobility Extreme X8 power wheelchair. We decided to try it out before we left San Diego, so we headed over to Mission Beach.
We used an open trailer for this journey to pick up Chris and his chairs from the San Diego VA. Since we couldn't guarantee his daily chair would be safe on the trailer, I rode it as we filmed Chris' fun in the sand. I gained some new perspective on using a power wheelchair. The Permobil M3 kept up with the X8, but it certainly couldn't manage the beach, and some of those sidewalks gave me some air time! The X8 definitely has better shocks!
